💔I don’t even know how to start this post. Simón passed away 3 days ago.
I’ve been trying to find the right words.
He was already an oldie when we rescued him in November 2023, so this wasn’t a surprise….but we were actively looking for a home for him. He was doing well and was still very active.
They found him peacefully, and he looked calm.
Since 2023, he went through chemotherapy twice, and he had one eye removed. We handled that with so much care, he stayed for two days in a very good clinic, so he returned to the shelter already pain-free.
He was later moved to OMFA Moreno, a better facility where we helped build more spaces for dogs. There, he became more social with other dogs.
We will never know what his life was like before 2023. He had been abandoned and was in very bad shape when we rescued him.
What we do know is that he had a good life towards the end, even though he was never adopted. I just wish he had known what it feels like to be in a home in old age, when they need it the most.
We covered all of Simón’s costs since day one, and we want to thank all our donors who supported him since 2023 🙏🏽♥️

No sé ni cómo empezar. Simón falleció hace 3 días. 💔
Era un viejito cuando lo rescatamos en noviembre de 2023. No fue una sorpresa, pero sí muy triste. Estaba bien, activo, y seguíamos buscando un hogar para él.
Lo encontraron en paz.
Pasó por dos quimios y le sacaron un ojito en la mejor clínica de Palermo. Siempre lo cuidamos con todo el amor. Después se fue a OMFA Moreno, un refugio Meir donde se volvió más sociable y tuvo una mejor calidad de vida.
Nunca vamos a saber cómo fue su vida antes de su rescate , pero sí sabemos que al final tuvo una linda vida. Aunque nunca fue adoptado, ojalá hubiera conocido lo que es un hogar en su vejez.
Gracias a todos los que lo ayudaron con donaciones desde 2023 y a Yanina de por cuidarlo tan bien y con tanto amor.
