Come and join ELSA Groningen and the Groningen Centre for Health Law as we explore global challenges in public health through interdisciplinary perspectives, not only to avoid siloisation of disciplines, but to present opportunities for stronger collective efforts in response to the significant concerns of today and the future. We will explore the current global health challenges, such as low- and middle-income health services affordability, resource scarcity, accountability and human rights concerns, also in light of the climate crisis. Despite these challenges, it looks for solutions such as locally adapted interventions and capacity building for sustainable health services. πŸ’™πŸ©Ί

🀝 Our speakers:

Jurjen van der Schans - An assistant professor who has a background in medical pharmaceutical sciences, and health economics. Jurjen is a global health researcher whose work spans chronic disease management, infectious disease prevention, and public health policy collaborating closely with experts in clinical practice and public health.

David Patterson - A PhD Researcher addressing the human rights, health and climate change nexus. David is a member of the Groningen Centre for Health Law, a founding member and current president of the Law and Public Health Section (EUPHA-LAW) of the European Public Health Association (EUPHA).
