We meet every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month at 19:00 at The Social Hub, Boterdiep 9, Groningen If you've ever wanted to improve your communication skills, be it as a speaker on stage, as a line manager in your company, as a person struggling with communicating their thoughts to their peers or relations - look no further. Toastmasters, the world's largest organization of public speaking has a branch in Groningen! At Toastmasters Groningen, we practice our speaking skills, body language, confidence building, evaluation, and develop leadership skills in quality meetings that have a very informal and supportive environment. There are no PROs and CONs, only PROs and Points Of Improvement. Toastmasters is a non-profit organization. The mission is to provide a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth. Toastmasters Groningen meets every 1st and 3rd Wednesday evening of the month at Het Floreshuis, room 0.05 in Groningen. Doors open at 19.00 for meet & greet, the meeting starts at 19.15! As a guest, you're very welcome to come to our meetings and decide if you'd like to join us (you can join us max 3 times for free). We would appreciate it if you inform us in advance so we are aware of approximately how many attendees to expect at a meeting. See you soon!

Last week at Toastmasters Groningen, we had the pleasure of welcoming Pierre Semudenge for a workshop focusing on being present and being authentic during public speaking.

Rather than focusing only on what we say, Pierre encouraged us to pay attention to how we show up — to be fully present, connect with our audience, and let our authentic selves come through.

What made the workshop especially valuable was the practical feedback. We could immediately put his suggestions into practice, experiment, and notice the difference for ourselves.

Thank you, Pierre, for an insightful and hands-on evening!

At Toastmasters Groningen we have several workshops per year for the members to get inspired and grow!
