📚 We’re organizing an online Living Library, on December 11th!
🌍 This means you can have a unique conversation with a living book, all from the comfort of your own home.
🎉 Because it’s online, we’re able to welcome living books from different countries, which makes this edition extra special. We’re super excited!
⚡️ Spots are limited, so don’t wait — sign up today!
🧠 The online Living Library takes place alongside our Symposium, where three researchers will share their latest insights and studies about the Living Library method. We will also present our handbook.
✨ Everyone who’s interested is welcome to join! All info: livinglibrary.nl/symposium.

Recently, three PhD researchers from different countries have conducted studies on the Living Library. We’ve invited them to present their findings to anyone interested. The event will take place via Zoom and will include time for questions and discussion.

We are currently part of an international project, funded by the Erasmus+ programme. In collaboration with organizational development experts and other organizers of living libraries, we are developing an effective methodology for corporate living libraries. This methodology emphasizes organizational development and sensitivity. As a part of this, employees open to the idea would have the chance to explore the role of a “living book” through proper training, introducing an innovative element. The project also involves building a network with companies, assessing their needs, engaging new volunteers and conducting impact assessments. See all info here: https://livinglibrary.nl/getting-there-together.

🌟 Stage One Success! 🌍

We’re thrilled to announce the completion of the first stage of our Erasmus+ project, "Don't Judge a Book by Its Cover! Diving into Living Library Methodology with Youth Workers." From October 28 to November 5, Dilijan, Armenia, became a hub of learning and cultural exchange, with 36 youth workers from the Netherlands, Greece, Portugal, Armenia, Turkiye, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Palestine gathering to combat discrimination through the Living Library approach. 📚✨

What We Achieved Together:
🔹 Empowering Training Sessions: Participants dove into the principles of the Living Library, exploring how stories can break down stereotypes and build connections.
🔹 Inspiring Exchanges: Through group discussions youth workers shared experiences and best practices from their home countries, enhancing each other’s understanding of social inclusion.
🔹 Building Community Impact: By the end of the week, each participant left with a concrete plan to implement Living Library events in their local communities over the next three months.

This is just the beginning! We’re excited to see these youth leaders put their new skills into action, creating safe spaces for dialogue and fostering inclusion where it’s needed most.

Stay tuned for updates as their journeys continue! 🌈💬

💡The training course is implemented by Armenian Progressive Youth in collaboration with Jongeren voor Uitwisseling en Begrip (JUB). The project is funded under the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union!
