We believe healthcare must be accessible to everyone, despite someone's social or economic background. To many of us, the accessibility to healthcare services is a given. Unfortunately, this is not the case for all people. In Kahama, people have to travel far to reach an accessible hospital that provides the care they need. However, this is not feasible for all people in need, think of poor, disab

led or orphans. Therefore, Martus Foundation aims to realize a healthcare facility that is accessible for everyone, regardless one's social or economical background. The Martus Healthcare Center will open its doors for all people and will adjust the prices of treatments accordingly. We aim to include all people in the society and raise the equality. We know our dream to realize a Healthcare Center is big. Therefore, it is important to break it down to smaller pieces. We aim to improve healthcare in Kahama in different ways. In a continuous project we provide insurance cards. In the short term we want to introduce a mobile clinic. While we will not lose focus on our long term project, the Martus Healthcare Center. Next week, we’ll be hosting a new medical camp focused on Gender-Based Violence (GBV)—an issue that deeply affects communities across Tanzania, including here in Kahama. 😔

In a place that’s growing rapidly with economic opportunities, it’s more important than ever to ensure that no one is left behind, especially women and children who are too often the silent victims of violence and inequality.

At Martus Foundation, we believe that gender equality is everyone’s responsibility. 💪That’s why we’re working hard behind the scenes to prepare a meaningful, community-driven camp that brings education, care, and support where it’s most needed.

Volgende week organiseren we een nieuwe medische camp met focus op Gender Based Violence (GBV) — een onderwerp dat helaas nog te vaak voorkomt, ook hier in Kahama. 😔

Kahama groeit snel door economische ontwikkelingen, maar daarmee groeit niet automatisch de veiligheid en gelijkheid voor iedereen. Vooral vrouwen en kinderen zijn nog te vaak slachtoffer van geweld en ongelijke kansen.

Bij Martus Foundation geloven we dat gendergelijkheid ieders verantwoordelijkheid is. 💪 Daarom zijn we momenteel druk bezig met de voorbereidingen om deze camp zo impactvol mogelijk te maken – met zorg, voorlichting en steun, precies waar het nodig is.

You may have noticed that things have been a bit quiet on our channels lately. But rest assured – that doesn’t mean we’ve been idle! 💪

The end of the year is always a busy time, and for an NGO like ours, that’s no different. We’ve been working behind the scenes on administrative tasks, wrapping up last year, and preparing impactful new plans and funding proposals for 2025. So far, we’ve had some great conversations with our partners, and we can’t wait to share more details with you soon!

Misschien heb je gemerkt dat het de laatste tijd wat rustiger was op onze kanalen. Maar wees gerust – dat betekent niet dat we stilzitten! 💪

De jaarwisseling is een drukke periode voor iedereen, en dat geldt ook voor een NGO als de onze. We zijn volop bezig geweest met administratieve taken, het afsluiten van het afgelopen jaar én het voorbereiden van nieuwe plannen en subsidieaanvragen voor 2025. Tot nu toe hebben we al mooie gesprekken gehad met onze partners, en we kunnen niet wachten om binnenkort meer te delen over de impactvolle projecten die eraan komen!
