HELP!
The situation in Khajuraho school is getting serious now. Does anybody know how to help our school and Prahbat?
The money we were able to gather thanks to the donation is sent to school, but we need something different now as they need far more due to the corona plagues!!

Khajuraho is hit hard in this Coronacrisis, because many businesses are closed and leave their workers no choice but returning to their villages. They are at home without work and income in complete lock-down.
Of course also tourism, a major source of income for the village and the school, is out of business.
In the meantime agriculture is infested by locusts. A greater part of the harvest is lost, which means that there is no food enough for the people. Because of two bad harvests in previous years, there are no buffers anymore.
Foodprices are high and rising and many poor people can’t buy enough food. For weeks poor people eat only bread (chapatti’s), often once a day. People are starving, and also their children: the pupils of Kashi Mandir School.

At this moment our greatest concern is not the exploitation of the school but simply the combat of starvation. Untill now our foundation has donated €1000 and Prabhat has purchased food for his pupils.
However, our resources are limited while the need is high.
You may want to consider transferring an amount to our account.

An amount of €25 is enough to give 50 pupils a meal. The money can be on the spot within a few days.

COVID-19 and Kashimandir school 1:

Our school has been hit by the impacts of Corona virus in many ways in the meanwhile. As many of you might have heard, Indian government decided a hard lock-down in the big cities. As a result, many workers, in fact parents of the children and neighbors, come back to the village without income. The new harvest is not there yet, and the previous years harvest was also bad leaving no food stocks for people in the village.

The global lock-down hit the tourist sector very hard. No flgiths, no train or buses, so also no tourists to this village. Hotels are empty, restaurants and shops are closed. Many villeage people have no job and no income. About 80% of the people in this village are depending on these income.

Most of the people here are belonging to the lowest cast system, who now got hit the most. Many families are having only one meal per day or sometimes even without. Fight against the hunger is about to be the biggest disaster than corona itself to them.

We are now trying to help with the basic food to them. Please help us. We appreciate a lot for the donation you made, with which we were able to transfer the money to school to buy the basic necessities.
