In Tankstation, we are inspired to create a transnational public space; a social, cultural meeting point to exchange. We warmly welcome locals, new coming inhabitants, students, artists, musicians, whoever wishes to be part of the cultural climate of Enschede. There are several platforms established, Kitchen, stage, expo, ateliers, give and take shop and workshops.

A new, exciting 3-part art workshop by Andrew Kauffman Andrew Kauffman is starting on the 13/9.

“Experience time through art”

Time is not a river we swim in. It is a structure we inhabit — and art-making reveals the architecture. These workshops explore how the body processes duration before the mind can name it. Through guided making sessions, we map the compression points where time collapses and the gap-spaces where it expands. You will leave with a personal vocabulary for reading your own tempo, and practical methods for holding sustainable states in any creative practice.

New Tankstation’s Jam Session in collaboration with robson vierkwart on the horizon!

See you on Thursday 17/9, from 20:00-23:00 at Blekerstraat 165 🤟🏻 Hop on stage and join our house band, or just enjoy an evening of great improvised music!

Bring your instruments or use ours! As usual, only one rule: no covers allowed 🔥

While our greenhouse will be closed that day, GOGBOT FESTIVAL festival crew members and volunteers will get the chance to enjoy and try our delicious vegetarian cuisine 😁😋🤩

Happy Birthday Tankstation’s community!

Today we celebrate 13 years of music, art, shared meals and dreams 💚

Reservations for the food are sold out 🤩 but our doors are always open for you if you wanna browse our Give & Take Shop, chill in the garden or have a drink at the bar !

Good news! Our bar will be open today for wine & beers too! Do we need alcohol to have fun? Not at all, just nice to have the option 😃 only for today, we accept both cash & pin.

The fun starts at 16:00 but y’all know that already right? ☺️

Happy 13th Birthday Tankstation!

Join us for a special backyard party dedicated to celebrate 13 years of incredible adventures, community spirit and amazing volunteers💚

We’ll kick off the festivities at 17:00 with a delicious vegetarian BBQ, Chef Deepika’s homemade treats, and fresh artisanal ice cream served by our friends from and their adorable ice cream bike.

No celebration at Tank is complete without music! Join us for an evening filled with different genres, styles, and vibes in our neighbour-friendly program:

19:00 - 20:00 | Soft, intimate, and cozy acoustic concert in the garden
Silent Disco (max. 30 participants: on spot you’ll be asked 1 euro deposit for headphones)
20:00 - 21:30 | Live synthesizer performance
21:30 - 23:00 | DJ set

Join us for a fun and beginner-friendly introduction to Lindy Hop, the energetic partner dance that originated in the swing jazz era.

🎵 Social Dance with swing tunes from our DJs

If you are familiar to jazz /lindy hop/swing dance/freestyle dancer. This is definitely recommended for you! Additionally, this Social dance gives you whole package experience from dancing to socializing with live music from their exciting DJs.

Little joys from our garden 😍🌿

One of the things that made us fall in love with our new location is definitely the little jungle right next to the greenhouse.

So much hard work and love has gone into it and maaaan, what a joy it is to see it transform into the beauty it is today. 💚

Every day, we discover new gifts growing around us. And every day, our amazing volunteers come up with creative ideas and delicious recipes to enjoy all the fruits and greens our garden has to offer.

📢 We’re excited to announce Let’s Talk Art!, a new event format dedicated to bringing art and artists back to Tankstation. 🎨

This series of conversations, interviews, and panel discussions will explore the local art scene through the voices and experiences of artists, creatives, and cultural practitioners. 💬

For our first session, we’ll be diving into the theme “All About Creativity” with , Désiré De Lacy , Jacco Borggreve and Lotte van Heek⭐️

The panel will be moderated by the one and only Patyt Reyes 💜

Join us for an open conversation about inspiration, artistic practice, and the relationship between creativity and place. Whether you’re an artist, cultural worker, or simply curious about the creative process, we would love to have you with us.
