Stichting Cambodia-Dutch, opgericht op 6 juni 2008, is een “non-profit” organisatie die, i.s.m. Cambodia-Dutch Organization (kort CDO), middels enkele projecten de Cambodjaanse bevolking ter plekke ondersteunt. Het is een Nederlandse organisatie die samenwerkt met de Cambodia-Dutch Organization (CDO) in Cambodja. CDO ondersteunt in verschillende projecten de Cambodjaanse bevolking ter plekke. We r

ichten ons vooral op de bevolking die op het platteland woont en die leeft beneden de armoede grens. Hoofddoel van Stichting Cambodia-Dutch is het werven van fondsen en donateurs ten behoeve van onderwijs, water en sanitaire voorzieningen, gezondheidszorg en werkgelegenheid. Einddoel op langere termijn is ervoor te zorgen dat de bevolking zelfredzaam wordt en niet meer helemaal afhankelijk is van hulp van buitenaf .

De familie Run Ra doet het goed, vader kan beter lopen na zijn bromfiets ongeluk en nu krijgen ze een nieuw huis. De 3 kinderen gaan naar school. Moeder verkoopt groente en fruit op de markt, vader maakt visnetten.
Door wat financiële hulp functioneert dit gezin weer en hebben een beter toekomst perspectief. www.cambodia-dutch.org

New style house

Cdo built a new style houses, with cement floor and tails on the floor, with a big
veranda and bathroom. Cdo built 4 houses new style and 2 houses old style.
The commune members are very happy with this new style houses.

Food is the basic

Things are not going well in Cambodia. There is still war at the border between Thailand and Cambodia, the economy is stagnating, and as a result, tourists are staying away. Finding a job is very difficult. Small children has to stay by their grandmother or a neighbour, while the parents often stay away for months to look for work in the major cities.
This is also the case for Signoon's mother. She takes care of 6 children... Cdo helps her with food packages.
