Q3 activities recap

To make sure everyone remembers to have fun and relax during to what many consider the most stressful quartile of the year, Japie organized various educational and fun activities for its members!
• Excursion to Shell during which our students got to go on a guided tour of Shell Pernis Site alongside .t.s.v._thor
• BPA 2 for those who have a profound beer pallet and for those who just enjoy beer
• Freshmen excursion to Chemelot during which the first years got to experience the Chemelot Campus and get to know the companies that are there
• Semi-annual G.M.M. 279 where 68th board and 38th committee F.O.R.T. 'Pie Debye' presented their semi-annual reports together with other Japie committees
• ChefCie: On the Roll was dinner hosted by Japie's amazing cooking committee that took us to a three course long journey showing us that anything can be made into a delicious roll
• Election G.M.M. 280 was slightly a bit more fun G.M.M. during which the aspiring candidates presented themselves to the rest of the members

On Wednesday, March 18, 2026, our first-year bachelor students of our Chemical Engineering and Chemistry program had the great opportunity to visit the Brightlands Chemelot Campus as part of our annual career day excursion!

During the Chemelot Career Expedition, our students were introduced to the world behind the industry, together with study associations BENGI Maastricht, M.S.V. Möbius, U.S.S. Proton. The day started with a plenary session with industry leaders, and ended with a tour around the campus visiting various Chemelot companies.

A massive thank-you to CHILL for making this visit possible for our students, as well as the various Chemelot companies within the Brightlands Chemelot campus that shared their knowledge and practice, which left our students with new insights and perspectives!

Hello all! Here’s a recap of some fun activities of the past few weeks. On the 7th of March, the F.O.R.T. organized the foreign beer excursion to Brugge. On the 10th of March, the BACcIE organized their third activity, Vintage Vendetta, a night filled with mystery and fun! On the weekend of the 13th of March, the Study Tour committee organized a lovely participants weekend, filled with fun and sportive activities. See you next time!

Tijdens deze Business Course werk je aan een strategische casus in de zorg – gebaseerd op ons echte werk. Je krijgt een inkijkje in de complexe vraagstukken waar we ons dagelijks in vastbijten en leert onze collega’s kennen tijdens een volledig verzorgd programma inclusief overnachting en diner.

Jill Oudshoorn deed mee aan een eerder Business Course en werkt nu bij Gupta. Jill: ‘Ik zou de Business Course aanraden voor mensen die affiniteit hebben met de zorg of graag maatschappelijke impact willen maken. Consultancy is best een vaag en breed begrip als je studeert en de Business Course is een mooie kans om verder te onderzoeken wat het precies inhoudt en of het wat voor jou is.’
