"Early mornings bring a sobering reality as I walk the path to Reclusorio Oriente. Each step is a reminder of the contrasts between our worlds. Today, like every visit, I carried with me not just essentials, but a message of hope and human dignity. It’s not just about the barriers of iron and concrete; it's about reaching through to the human spirit confined within. As I interact with the inmates, sharing legal advice, mental support, and spiritual care, I see resilience in the face of adversity. Despite the harshness of their reality, we find moments of genuine connection. These encounters reinforce why we, at the Agape Foundation, are so committed to our mission: to bring light into the darkest places, and to remember those society has forgotten.
