BEFORE GOD ENTRUSTS YOU WITH YOUR OWN MINISTRY, HE WILL TEST HOW YOU SERVE IN SOMEONE ELSE’S.

How can you expect God to entrust you with your own ministry if you cannot faithfully serve, honor, and support the ministry He has already placed you in?

Your faithfulness in someone else’s vision reveals your readiness to carry your own.

Jesus said:

“He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much.” — Luke 16:10

Don’t despise small beginnings. Don’t underestimate the importance of serving under someone else’s leadership.

Before God promotes you, He prepares you. And often, that preparation begins through serving others.

The question is not whether you are ready to lead, but whether you have learned to serve faithfully.

5 Types of People You Should Distance Yourself From, Even as a Christian

As a Christian, you are called to love everyone, but that does not mean giving everyone unlimited access to your life.

Jesus loved everyone, but He did not entrust Himself to everyone (John 2:24–25).

The Bible teaches us to forgive, love, and pursue peace. But it also teaches us to guard our hearts and exercise wisdom in our relationships.

1. People Who Constantly Create Division

Romans 16:17

These are people who constantly cause conflicts, talk behind others’ backs, and try to damage relationships.

They do not bring peace but unrest. They often try to persuade others to take their side.

Biblical lesson: Pursue peace, but do not allow yourself to be drawn into division.

2. People Who Constantly Manipulate You

2 Timothy 3:1–5

These people use guilt, emotions, or even Bible verses to gain control over you.

They do not respect your boundaries and try to make you responsible for their feelings or decisions.

Biblical lesson: Loving someone does not mean allowing them to control you.

3. People Who Never Take Responsibility

Proverbs 28:13

Everyone makes mistakes. But some people refuse to acknowledge their own mistakes.

In their eyes, someone else is always to blame. They justify their behavior, shift responsibility onto others, and refuse to examine themselves.

Biblical lesson: Forgiveness can be freely given, but rebuilding trust requires honesty, accountability, and genuine change.

4. People Who Are Constantly Negative and Discouraging

1 Corinthians 15:33

These are people who constantly criticize, discourage your faith, and try to undermine every positive development in your life.

They see problems everywhere but rarely contribute to solutions.

Biblical lesson: Surround yourself with people who encourage you to grow in faith, wisdom, and character.

5. People Who Deliberately Continue in Harmful Behavior

Titus 3:10–11; Proverbs 22:24–25

There is a significant difference between someone who struggles with personal weaknesses and someone who deliberately continues behaving in ways that hurt others.

Some people want your forgiveness but are unwilling to change their behavior. They expect another chance every time without taking responsibility for their actions.

Biblical lesson: Grace does not mean you must endlessly tolerate harmful behavior.

Remember This!

You can love someone without maintaining a close relationship with them.

You can forgive someone without immediately giving them the same level of trust again.

You can pray for someone without giving them access to every area of your life.

And you can be at peace with someone without constantly spending time with them.

Jesus teaches us to love our enemies (Matthew 5:44), but nowhere does He teach us that we must maintain every relationship at all costs.

Creating distance is not always a lack of love. Sometimes, it is a sign of wisdom.

And never forget this: Before looking for these five characteristics in others, examine your own heart.

Psalm 139:23–24 — “Search me, O God, and know my heart.”

Because spiritual maturity is not only about learning to recognize people who may be harmful to your life.

It is also about making sure that you do not become that kind of person in someone else’s life.

THE GREATEST REVELATION IS KNOWING GOD AS YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER!

Jesus did not come to introduce us to another religion. He came to bring us back to our Heavenly Father!

Jesus said:

“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” — John 14:6

Jesus is the WAY, but the FATHER is the destination!

When you truly know God as your Father, everything changes!

You no longer serve Him to earn His love, but because you are loved.

You no longer obey out of fear, but out of love.

You no longer live like an orphan trying to prove your worth, but as a beloved child who belongs to Him.

“For you did not receive the spirit of bo***ge again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, ‘Abba, Father.’” — Romans 8:15

The greatest blessing of salvation is not what God can give you, but that through Jesus Christ, you can know God as your Father!

❤️ You were not saved merely to become a servant of God, but to become His child!

Do you truly know God as your Heavenly Father, or are you still trying to earn His love?

YOU WERE BORN WITH A PURPOSE!

You are not an accident. You are not a mistake. You were created by God, on purpose, for a purpose!

So many people spend their lives searching for meaning, identity, and direction.

They look for purpose in success, money, careers, relationships, or the approval of others. Yet even after achieving everything they dreamed of, something can still feel missing.

Why?

Because your true purpose is not found in what you achieve, but in the One who created you!

The Bible says:

📖 Ephesians 2:10
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”

Think about that!

God has already prepared good works for us to walk in. We don’t have to invent our own purpose. We are called to discover His will and walk in it through Jesus Christ.

And here is something important: You don’t need a pulpit, a title, or a ministry position to have a calling from God!

Every believer is called to live a life that glorifies Him.

DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE CALLED TO DO?

1. YOU ARE CALLED TO KNOW GOD AND LOVE HIM.
Your greatest calling is not to do something for God, but to have a relationship with Him.

Matthew 22:37

2. YOU ARE CALLED TO LOVE OTHERS.
God’s love was never meant to stop with you. You are called to demonstrate His love to the people around you.

John 13:34–35

3. YOU ARE CALLED TO BE A LIGHT IN THIS WORLD.
Wherever God has placed you — in your family, workplace, school, or community — your life can reflect Jesus.

Matthew 5:14–16

4. YOU ARE CALLED TO MAKE DISCIPLES.
Sharing the Gospel is not reserved for pastors or evangelists. Every follower of Jesus is called to participate in His mission.

Matthew 28:19–20

5. YOU ARE CALLED TO BEAR FRUIT.
God desires your life to produce lasting fruit through your relationship with Christ.

John 15:5,16

6. YOU ARE CALLED TO BECOME MORE LIKE JESUS.
Your calling is not only about what you do, but also about who you are becoming.

Romans 8:29

HERE IS WHAT I WANT YOU TO UNDERSTAND TODAY:

You may not know every detail of God’s plan for your life.

You may not know where He will lead you tomorrow.

But you can already begin walking in His purpose TODAY!

You don’t have to wait until you have a title, a platform, or the perfect circumstances.

Start by loving God, loving people, serving others, sharing Jesus, and being faithful with what He has entrusted to you.

Your purpose begins with Jesus, is shaped by Jesus, and ultimately points people back to Jesus!

And remember: You are not saved by your good works. You are saved by grace through faith, and created in Christ Jesus for good works. (Ephesians 2:8–10)

🔥 STOP JUST SEARCHING FOR YOUR PURPOSE. START WALKING WITH THE ONE WHO CREATED YOU!
