✈️Incident: Commute E145 near Shreveport on Mar 10th 2026, smell of smoke in cockpit✈️

A CommuteAir Embraer ERJ-145 on behalf of United, registration N14148 performing flight UA-4887 from Houston Intercontinental,TX to Knoxville,TN (USA), was enroute at FL270 when the crew decided to divert to Shreveport,LA (USA) reporting the smell of smoke in the cockpit. The aircraft went around on short final approach to runway 14 and landed safely on Shreveport's runway 14 on second approach about one hour after departure.

A replacement ERJ-145 registration N11165 reached Knoxville with a delay of about 3:45 hours.

The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground in Shreveport for about 24 hours, then returned to Houston.

“A TAP Air Portugal Airbus A330-900, registration CS-TUK performing flight TP-225 from Lisbon (Portugal) to Miami,FL (USA), was enroute at FL370 over the Atlatic Ocean about 90nm northeast of Ponta Delgada, Azores Islands (Portugal) when the crew decided to divert to Ponta Delgada due to an odour/fumes on board. The aircraft landed safely on Ponta Delgada's runway 12 about 30 minutes later.

According to two local media on the Azores Islands 8 people were taken to hospitals, later reports do not mention any hospitalisations.”(source aerolinside)

✈️Incident: Jetstar A320 near Adelaide on Feb 24th 2026, fumes on board✈️

A Jetstar Airways Airbus A320-200, registration VH-VGN performing flight JQ-782 from Melbourne,VI to Adelaide,SA (Australia), was descending towards Adelaide about 50nm southeast of Adelaide when the crew donned their oxygen masks due to fumes in the cockpit. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on Adelaide's runway 23. The aircraft vacated the runway and taxied to the apron.

The aircraft remained on the ground in Adelaide until Feb 27th 2026 before returning to service.

The ATSB reported: "During descent, fumes were observed in the cockpit and the flight crew donned oxygen. The engineering inspection was unable to reveal the source of the fumes."

✈️‼️Incident: PSA CRJ9 near Pensacola on Mar 1st 2026, smoke in cockpit‼️✈️

A PSA Airlines Canadair CRJ-900 on behalf of American Airlines, registration N569NN performing flight AA-5063 from Tallahassee,FL to Dallas Ft. Worth,TX (USA), was climbing through FL310 out of Tallahassee when the crew reported smoke in the cockpit and decided to divert to Pensacola,FL (USA). The crew advised they would evacuate the aircraft after landing. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on runway 17 about 15 minutes later and stopped on the runway. The aircraft was evacuated.

A replacement CRJ-900 registration N590NN positioned from Charlotte,NC (USA) to Pensacola, resumed the flight and reached Dallas with a delay of about 5 hours.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Pensacola about 24 hours after landing.

A new British All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Cabin Air Quality will be hearing evidence on this issue in Portcullis House (beside the houses of Parliament in London) on 10 March 2026 from 14:00 to 16:00 and on 11 March 2026 from 09:30 to 11:30.
Day one will have testimony from Captain Tristan Loraine, Judith Anderson and Professor Vyvyan Howard.
Day two will have testimony from three global companies who manufacture air cleaning technologies such as Pall Aerospace, BASF and PTI Technologies.
These sessions are expected to be the first of several sessions over the year. Crewmembers who been affected or who have an interest in this topic are strongly urged to attend in person one or both sessions. To register your intent to attend, please email the company (email address below) that is collating the names of probable attendees to add to the guest list. It’s vital that you email this company before turning up. It’s also vital you bring picture ID to get into the building as it is a secure building with airport style security.

Incident: Easyjet A20N near Manchester on Feb 17th 2026, first officer incapacitated

An Easyjet Airbus A320-200N, registration G-UZLW performing flight U2-2268 from Gibraltar (Gibraltar) to Manchester,EN (UK), was descending towards Manchester when the captain declared emergency reporting the first officer had been incapacitated. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on Manchester's runway 05L about 18 minutes later.
