Goodbye from a stray dog:
“My exhausted body has reached the end of its days. Maybe I will die tonight and from under this tree with my last breath I want to give thanks for the bread I could find in the garbage. I want to thank the rain that fell from the sky so I could drink...
I am one of the many who have never known the warmth of a family, a house or a basket, the taste of a bone or the caress of a human being.
I only know the pain of being beaten, stones thrown on my head and body and tires of a car that sent me into a ravine.
I remember when I was a puppy, when I was abandoned and then wandered all my life. I have crossed mountains, forests and villages and no one has ever taken me in. Nobody ever gave me a name.
I've always just been A STRAY DOG.
Please people stop letting us down.
Having to be a puppy or adult dog on the street and living a wandering life is sad and hard.
It is painful and sad to always be alone and especially to be just 'a dog', without a name, without attention, without love."
There is no help available for many stray animals because no one cares about them. For many, help comes too late because rescuers only find them when there is nothing left to do. But fortunately for some there is hope and they are rescued in time so that the necessary help can be provided. Provided rescuers have the resources for this. So they need donations for this.
Don't let them down!
We at the Animal Emergency Foundation certainly do not do that.
We try to help as many as possible, but we can't do that without your support.
Would you please help us?
Name them, give them help!
Make a donation – one-off or periodically. Everything is welcome!
