Goodbye from a stray dog:
“My exhausted body has reached the end of its days. Maybe I will die tonight and from under this tree with my last breath I want to give thanks for the bread I could find in the garbage. I want to thank the rain that fell from the sky so I could drink...
I am one of the many who have never known the warmth of a family, a house or a basket, the taste of a bone or the caress of a human being.
I only know the pain of being beaten, stones thrown on my head and body and tires of a car that sent me into a ravine.
I remember when I was a puppy, when I was abandoned and then wandered all my life. I have crossed mountains, forests and villages and no one has ever taken me in. Nobody ever gave me a name.
I've always just been A STRAY DOG.
Please people stop letting us down.
Having to be a puppy or adult dog on the street and living a wandering life is sad and hard.
It is painful and sad to always be alone and especially to be just 'a dog', without a name, without attention, without love."
There is no help available for many stray animals because no one cares about them. For many, help comes too late because rescuers only find them when there is nothing left to do. But fortunately for some there is hope and they are rescued in time so that the necessary help can be provided. Provided rescuers have the resources for this. So they need donations for this.
Don't let them down!
We at the Animal Emergency Foundation certainly do not do that.
We try to help as many as possible, but we can't do that without your support.
Would you please help us?
Name them, give them help!
Make a donation – one-off or periodically. Everything is welcome!

For people who are looking for a cheap "purebred dog".
They come from these kind of sheds... (see below)
The red feeders contain a week's worth of food.
Furthermore, they sit on a mesh floor in their own excrement and have no fresh air, no daylight, cannot play and are not walked...
They always stay in the cage, receive no (medical) care, no pat on the head, no attention, no love, no kindness – nothing at all.
The only thing that matters is that they have as many puppies as possible... litter after litter, year after year.
So please don't buy a breeding puppy!
Ask if they are affiliated with a breed club.
Do they have more than 2 litters at a time or do they offer puppies of different breeds...Don't!
Always ask if you can see the father and mother and pay close attention to whether this is actually the (nursing) mother.
With a good breeder, the puppies are born in their home and are tested for all kinds of hereditary diseases.
But why choose a purebred dog? A mix is often much stronger and lives longer - it has not been overbred and there are still so many animals in shelters and foreign shelters that have been waiting for a nice and loving home for a long time. Many of them are in killing centers abroad - if they are not adopted quickly, they will be killed. So basically: for every breeding dog, an animal from a killing shelter dies....
If you want a pet - adopt one.
And stop the (bread) breeding: no demand, no supply

DON'T SHOP!!! ADOPT!!!

For Dutchman Eric Jansen this was more of a challenge than a problem and as a great animal lover, he wanted to help many stray animals when he emigrated to Fortaleza on the north coast of Brazil about fifteen years ago.

He has now married a Brazilian woman there and together they work very hard to help many stray animals.

A 100-year-old beech "has 600,000 leaves and therefore a leaf area of 1,500 square meters.

It breathes and produces 4.5 tons of oxygen per day - as much as 15 adult humans need to inhale annually.

In those hundred years it removes six tons of carbon dioxide from the air.

Almost unbelievably, it also filters a ton of fine dust and dirt.
It pumps up to 400 liters of water into its crown every day, cooling the environment by three to five degrees Celsius.

I would say: 'Don't cut down so many trees to create "green" energy. But plant more trees to lower the temperature.'
