Next to a missile, you’ll find a garden full of tulips 🌷

We were able to surprise some of our local heroes, and others we’ve supported over the past four years, with something a little different than the usual.

Tulips from the hometown of , founder of Dutch Civilian Action a place famous for its blooms.

Now we’re receiving the results 🥰🌷

We are sending two ambulances to save lives near the frontline 🚑

But we’re not done yet. We still have 3 more ambulances waiting to be repaired and delivered.

• €2000 – repairs & technical preparation (per ambulance)
• €500 – delivery to Ukraine (per ambulance)

Easter ceasefire looks like… 💔

This video was recorded yesterday by our local hero , who evacuates civilians every day from the most dangerous areas in Ukraine to safety.

Even during the “ceasefire,” his city was hit in broad daylight.

Civilians who were simply on their way were wounded. Bogdan immediately stepped in to help.

Lena plays a vital role in organizing our transport shipments, ensuring trucks from the Netherlands safely reach eastern Ukraine.

To thank her, we invited her and her son Mark, who volunteered at our children’s summer camp in 2025, to visit the Netherlands.

We showed them around, joined a volleyball tournament supporting Dutch Civilian Action (we ended up in last place😅), and introduced them to our amazing Sunday volunteers.

Most importantly, the experience left Lena and Mark inspired, empowered, and even more motivated to continue supporting people living close to the frontline.

We are deeply grateful for this partnership, and for your support of our Local Heroes program, which makes moments like this possible 🙏
