The ambulance we donated to the evacuation team of in Kramatorsk has been destroyed by a russian FPV drone.

Thankfully, no one was injured. But this ambulance can no longer be used to evacuate civilians from one of Ukraine’s most dangerous frontline areas.

As the situation around Kramatorsk continues to worsen, the need for evacuations is growing every day.

We must act now to help as many people as possible reach safety before access to the city becomes even more difficult.

Together with .haarlem and , we’ve made this summer camp possible, a place where 50 children, for a little while, kids can simply be kids again. 🌻

We spent the night at an evacuation center in Kramatorsk. For most people evacuated from villages near the front line, this shelter is their first stop.

The center operates entirely through donations and support from Dutch Civilian Action, in collaboration with .nl and , who provide food, hygiene products, and other essential supplies.

Hundreds of people pass through this shelter. Here, they can finally rest and begin to feel human again after living for weeks or months surrounded by constant explosions, fear, and uncertainty.

It’s absolutely incredible that these guys do this every day, four or five times a day. But they can’t do it alone. 😳

Together with evacuation teams like Bogdan’s ( ), our goal is to evacuate 1,000 people over the coming year.

On average, it costs just €30 to get one person to safety.
