Since the band we had previously approached to fill the preheadlinerspot unfortunately had to cancel, there was a bit of a scramble to find a suitable replacement, which we feel we did. Or maybe even slightly overdid. Because everything worth doing is worth overdoing!
Also hailing from Germany, this Progressive Artcore trio has been released 7 albums since 2010, with their latest album (Der Brauch) being released earlier this year. They don't play in the Netherlands often, maybe because all of their songs are in their native language, but Jonno has been a fan ever since seeing them for the first time at UK-Tech Fest in 2016.
For the people unfamiliar with this band: Do you ever feel you would like indierock more if it had some blastbeats? Or maybe you would actually like Mathcore if it was just a bit more PostPunk. The Hirsch Effekt manages to combine opposite sounds in a way that makes it sound natural, while delivering a live performance that is electric and hypnotizing.
We are very excited to be announcing The Hirsch Effekt as the last band for MidJonno Prog II
