The AFAS Foundation has pledged a financial contribution for the further development of the Mary Joy Clinic in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia). Thanks to this support, investments can be made in medical equipment, staff training, and the further professionalization of care for vulnerable residents.

Emergency appeal from South Sudan: Help us with internet and emergency aid for flood victims!

We recently received an urgent appeal from Bishop Stephen Dokolo of Lui, South Sudan. He wrote to us with a double request for help!

VERY URGENT NEED FOR INTERVENTION IN LUI HOSPITAL, LUI, MUNDRY COUNTY, SOUTH SUDAN

The long time partner 'Doctors With Africa CUAMM' from Italy has stopped working at Lui Hospital and they have moved out of Lui Hospital. We are now struggling to find another International Christian Organization to come and help us with health services delivery.

CUAMM said they have run out of money for managing their work at Lui Hospital but they have money for running work in other parts of South Sudan, at the moment they have moved to Rumbek and Yirol but left Lui Hospital after serving in Lui nearly 15 years.
It’s very sad for us because Lui Hospital is the Only referral Hospital in the area.

Lui Hospital (Health Sciences Institute) is located in Lui, Mundri County, Western Equatoria, South Sudan. We are strong partners of the Lui Diocese of the Episcopal Church of South Sudan.
