We preserve cultural heritage to empower communities especially in Swaida and regions facing adversity. Alpha was an art space and café founded in 2005 in Swaida, Southern Syria, by Arsheed’s family. It proudly stood as the city’s first fine arts gallery, a living home for creativity, dialogue, and artistic expression. Though its original space was lost, Alpha did not end. Today, Alpha has found a

new home in Amsterdam as a non-profit organisation, carrying its legacy forward. Rooted in the belief that art is a vital force for connection, resilience, and freedom, Alpha continues its mission through a series of immersive audiovisual exhibitions. These experiences create spaces where voices, stories, memory, and creativity come together, refusing silence, resisting erasure, and honouring the power of art to endure.
