After 2 months of summer holidays, we’re finally BACK! 🥳🍲💖

Soup, Soup, Soup… Whoop Whoop Whoop! 🎉🏳️‍🌈

What a beautiful and successful comeback session at QueerHub Amsterdam! 🏳️‍⚧️✨ We had 37 amazing people, including our 7 wonderful volunteers, sharing food, laughter, warmth and good vibes together. 🫶

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made our first session after the summer break so special. ❤️

Amsterdam. Onze stad waar we ruimte maken voor elkaar. En willen dat iedereen zich veilig en welkom voelt, wie je ook bent en waar je ook vandaan komt.

Maar een veilige en inclusieve stad is nooit vanzelfsprekend. Dat vraagt om aandacht, en om mensen die zich het hele jaar door inzetten voor vrijheid en gelijke rechten. Wij zijn hier. Samen.

Als gaststad van WorldPride vieren we liefde, vrijheid en de kracht van jezelf kunnen zijn met de hele wereld. ❤️

House of Bodega is an international ballroom house that celebrates and strengthens ballroom culture through performances, education, talent development, and community building.

Driven by authenticity, creativity, and care, they are building an inclusive future for the next generation. In 2024, House of Bodega was awarded the Roze Lieverdje, the Amsterdam LGBTQ+ Award, in recognition of their commitment to the q***r community.

Save the date! July 10 will be the 5th edition of our own Pride Nieuw-West. A day of gathering, solidarity, music and more!

Noteer de datum! Op 10 juli vindt de te editie van onze eigen Pride Nieuw-West plaats. Een dag van samenzijn, solidariteit, muziek en nog veel meer!

Op zondag 31 mei presenteren we Wat familie is. Een openhartige interviewbundel waarin diverse wensouders hun persoonlijk hun persoonlijke verhaal delen. Zij vertellen over hun keuzes om hun gezin vorm te geven en over de wet- en regelgeving waarmee ze onderweg te maken kregen.

Tijdens de boekpresentatie vertelt de auteur Fien Gerver-Beets hoe het boek tot stand is gekomen, is een live interview en is er ruimte elkaar te ontmoeten, iets te drinken en - voor wie wil - het boek te kopen.

Natuurlijk zijn kinderen ook welkom. We hebben o.a. een tafelvoetbaltafel, sjoelbakken en kleurplaten.

On Sunday May 31st, author Fien Gerver-Beets presents her new book *Wat Familie Is* (What Family Is). How do you fulfill your desire to have children when the path to parenthood is not straightforward? *Wat Familie Is* is a candid and inspiring collection of interviews in which eleven (prospective) parents share their personal stories. They talk about their choices in shaping their families and about the laws and regulations they encountered along the way. The book presentation is open to the public: for q***r (prospective) parents, people exploring family formation, and anyone who wants to understand more about diverse family structures in the Netherlands. There are also fun activities for the kids!

When: May 31 from 15:00 - 16:30
Costs: Participation is free, donations are welcome
Language: Dutch, (no need to be perfect! We'll figure it out together.)
