🎓 Celebrating the first cohort of Tamkeen in Jordan! 🇯🇴

Hayat Education Fund celebrated the achievements of the first cohort of participants in the Tamkeen project in Amman.

Through practical, career-focused training, participants develop digital skills, explore career opportunities in the digital sector, and learn how digital transformation is reshaping the world of work. The training covers design thinking, web design, digital tools, project management and professional communication, with hands-on activities that encourage participants to develop creative solutions to real-world challenges.

Participants also receive career readiness support, including CV writing, LinkedIn profile development and guidance on accessing freelance work opportunities, helping them turn their new skills into pathways towards employment and self-employment.

Funded by the Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair Refugee Education Fund under its Learning to Earn model, through its strategic partnership with GlocalShift, and delivered by Hayat Education Fund in partnership with Phoenix Space.

Cosmetology Track is underway in Tripoli! 💇‍♀️💅💄

Hair colouring and styling, nail art, makeup: our participants are now learning hands-on, building real skills for real jobs.

This program is implemented under the Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair Refugee Education Fund’s Learn to Earn model, as part of its strategic partnership with GlocalShift, and is delivered by Ruwwad Al Tanmeya - Lebanon.

🎓 From academic excellence to practical, job-ready skills.

After graduating among the top students in , Bushra Jbouli identified a challenge faced by many young graduates: strong academic knowledge, but limited access to the practical training needed to enter the with confidence.

Through the programme, Bushra completed four months of intensive, hands-on training in design thinking, SolidWorks, mechanical simulation, 3D printing and laser cutting ⚙️💡 helping her turn theoretical knowledge into practical engineering skills.

Her journey shows why bridging the gap between and matters, especially where young people have had limited access to practical learning opportunities.

What does successful skills training look like? 🎓➡️💼 It looks like a graduate moving directly into meaningful employment.

After completing an intensive four-month nursing programme through Learning to Earning, Yasmine Al-Dabbagh was recruited by Aleppo University Hospital 🏥, where she now works in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit. 🩺

Her journey shows why practical, employment-focused training matters: it helps bridge the gap between education and the workplace while strengthening the skilled workforce needed for Syria’s recovery. 🌱

Learning to Earning is delivered through the Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair Refugee Education Fund and GlocalShift’s partnership with Education Without Borders (MIDAD). 🤝

⭐ Meet the 10 winners of Gaza Stars 2026

From more than 2,000 applicants, ten businesses have been selected as the winners of Gaza Stars 2026, following months of training, mentorship and entrepreneurship support across Gaza.

The winners were announced during the programme’s final pitch competition and closing ceremony, where entrepreneurs presented ideas shaped by both survival and determination to rebuild.

The ten winning businesses will share $36,000 in seed funding to help them take their next steps, rebuild livelihoods and contribute to Gaza’s economic recovery.

🌟 Meet the 10 winners of Gaza Stars 2026.

From more than 2,000 applications to 10 funded businesses, this is what locally led recovery looks like. 🇵🇸

Gaza Stars is the first startup competition to take place in Gaza since the 2023 war on Gaza began. Over six months, 300 entrepreneurs went through bootcamps, mentorship and business training across two tracks: reviving businesses lost to the war, and building new ones for Gaza's changed reality.

💡 From AI powered farming to smartphone repair centres, sustainable concrete to digital payment platforms, these ten teams show what's possible when entrepreneurs are given the tools, not just the funding, to rebuild.
