Update on our workshop name

We’ve changed the name of our upcoming digital workshop. It was originally called Digital-Rizz, but it was brought to our attention that the term "Rizz" comes from African American Vernacular English (AAVE) and isn’t appropriate for us to use in this context.

We want to acknowledge this and thank those who flagged it, and apologise for any uncomfortableness this may have caused. Inclusivity and respect are important to us, so we’ve updated the title to:

The online Hustle: Ads, Safety and Strategy ✨

Same workshop, same focus on trusted platforms, online safety & privacy, and smarter advertising — just with a more appropriate name.

***Furthermore: the last post we share suggested the workshop was on the 15/10/2025. It is actually on Monday 20/10/2025. We are sorry for the confusion!

At the PIC, we don't do things by halves, and we were not born to be subtle!
We are reminding you of all the fantastic, essential and super informative events we have going on this October, our favourite month of the year! Not just because it's the month of our coordinators' birthday (*Cough*Cough* present welcome on the 24th *cough* *cough*), but because it also marks the 25th anniversary of the lifting of the Brothel Ban in the Netherlands! What better time to get out and join us in our comfy pad!

We start the month (06/10/2025) with a writing workshop for SWs interested in financial equality. Ran by the excellent Digital Advisor.

On 14/10/2025, we'll be sitting down with our Brazilian comrades for the English-translated launch of "So what if I'm P**a" Join us for this intimate evening with (tag)

On 15/10/2025, the Digital Advisor will be paying us another visit (what have we done to be so lucky?!) for the Digital *Rizz* workshop, where we will Learn about safety while working/advertising online.

We finish off the month (31/10/2025) with a bang, a pop, and a whizz! Margreet de Heer will be presenting her Sekspositief! A comic which stars our very own gorgeous Zina! I promise you, you will not want to miss this.

Remember: When we say comfy, we mean COMFY. Therefore, email us at [email protected] to reserve a space as the guest list is filling up quickly!

See you soon!

📍Nieuwland - Pieter Nieuwlandstraat 93, 1093 XN Amsterdam, Netherlands

The recent murder of Lisa (17), biking home at night in Amsterdam, is yet another example of femicide and showcases the ineffectiveness of governmental measures as well as emergency numbers, supposed to protect us. This event brought much media attention, and you can read the slogan « recht op de nacht », everywhere around the city; in the tram, metro, supermarkets and stores; demonstrating how affected people are by the murder of this young girl. Through this broad movement, women aim to reclaim the night and the public space.
By giving examples of different countries (the Netherlands, Greece, Germany, and France), we will focus on statistics, activist movements, governmental measures, and legal systems, as this discussion aims to examine the facts and rhetoric around femicides.

DISCLAIMER:
The FCA is not expert on the subject nor equipped to provide psychological support to women affected by femicide in any way. Check our resource page for organisations that can support you.

If you would like to join the discussion, please read the following code of conduct and sign up through the link in bio!

Nieuwland is wheelchair-accessible but its toilets are not. The nearest wheelchair-accessible toilets are at the Wereldmusem (previously known as the Tropenmuseum.) If you have any other specific needs in order to be able to join this meeting, please let us know and we can discuss what is possible.

We are looking forward to seeing you💜

Global Network of S*x Work Projects has released a powerful paper highlighting how exclusionary, criminalising approaches undermine s*x workers’ rights—and what must change to ensure true feminist solidarity and inclusion.
