💼 In Swansea, the Sea Ranger Service brought together around 30 representatives from local government, employers and other stakeholders to explore how marine career pathways in Wales can become more practical, visible and accessible for young people.
The conversation looked at opportunities across marine conservation, offshore wind and seafaring careers, while also addressing the barriers that still prevent many young people from entering these sectors.
What made the discussion especially important was hearing directly from Sea Rangers Naomi Roesner and Danielle Bishop, who shared their own experiences of unemployment and the challenge of finding a route into the blue economy.
This project is funded by the Welsh Government’s Local Places for Nature: The Marine Resilience Challenge Fund, administered by WCVA.
