Since 2013, the foundation is supporting contemporary dance artists in the Netherlands through the André Gingras Award. (english below)
De prijs bestaat uit een vrij te besteden geldbedrag van 3000 euro en een sculptuur. Geheel in de vernieuwende geest die het werk van André Gingras kenmerkte, zal de André Gingras Award worden toegekend aan choreografen die artistiek risicovol en inventief buiten
de gebaande paden durven te bewegen. Met deze prijs hoopt de Stichting ook een signaal af te geven aan dansmakers om opmerkelijk werk te maken. De André Gingras Award zal in de toekomst op steeds een ander moment en tijdens een ander evenement worden uitgereikt. Voor iedere toekenning benoemt Stichting Gingras een jury. Voor de eerste keer is de jury samengesteld uit mensen die in het verleden intensief met André Gingras hebben samengewerkt:

The winner will receive a €3000 cash prize to use as he sees fit, as well as a sculpture, specifically designed for the occasion. True to the innovative spirit that characterized the work of André Gingras, the Gingras Award will be presented to choreographers who have demonstrated inventiveness and the artistic courage to go beyond the bounds of the beaten path. With this award, the Gingras Foundation hopes to set a tone that will encourage choreographers to create different and unusual work. In the future, The Andre Gingras Award will be awarded each year at different time and event. For each prize, the board of the Gingras Foundation appoints a jury. On this first occasion, the jury is composed of individuals who worked extensively with André:
- Anita van Dolen, dance programmer, at Stadsschouwburg Amsterdam and Julidans
- Hildegard Draaier, artistic director Theater Group DOX
- Leo Spreksel, artistic director Korzo Theater
