We are still small and we don't have all the answers, but we do fill in the humanitarian gaps whenever and wherever is most needed. We are determined to empower communities to thrive.

Vorige week vrijdag openden onze AMV locatie in Amstelveen de deuren voor de buurt. 🏡

Onze jongens, de buren, de wethouder en Sociaal Werk Amstelveen kwamen samen voor een gezellige bbq. En wat was het een succes. Gesprekken, verbindingen, en heerlijk eten.

De wethouder was onder de indruk. Van de jongens, van de locatie, en van de manier waarop we hen begeleiden. Dat geeft ons energie om door te blijven gaan.

Want dit is waar het om draait: niet naast de buurt leven, maar er deel van uitmaken. ❤️

Behind every plate, every smile, every perfectly set table, there’s a story.

At ERGON, our hospitality training centre on Lesvos, residents of the refugee camp are doing more than learning new skills. They’re rebuilding confidence, forming friendships, and finding a sense of purpose.

And we couldn’t do it without the people who show up alongside us. A huge thank you to our partners at , the yacht crew who volunteer their time and expertise to ERGON. Your skills, your energy, and your heart make all the difference.

For us, getting to witness this community grow every single day? That’s why we do this work.

Goed nieuws voor iedereen die gelooft in meedoen vanaf dag één 🙌🏽!

Nieuwkomers krijgen straks sneller de kans om de taal te leren, hun talenten in te zetten en aan het werk te gaan. Want werk is zoveel meer dan een baan: het geeft ritme, eigenwaarde en het gevoel ergens bij te horen.

Bij Movement on the Ground geloven we al meer dan tien jaar in mensen vanaf de allereerste minuut betrekken en ondersteunen in het creëren van hun zelfredzaamheid . Onze Camp to CampUs-aanpak is daarop gestoeld en laat zien wat er gebeurt als je mensen niet ziet als een statistiek of dossier, maar als nieuwe buren en bouwers van hun eigen toekomst en onze maatschappij. Geef een nieuwkomer vanaf het begin de ruimte om mee te doen en je ziet mensen en hun omgeving opbloeien.

Mooi dat deze visie steeds breder wordt omarmd en dat de politiek in Nederland daar steeds meer gehoor aangeeft. We pleiten hier al meer dan 10 jaar voor. Nu komt het aan op de uitvoering waarbij menselijke waardigheid het ten alle tijde het uitgangspunt blijft.

Movement on the Ground staat klaar om daar een grote bijdrage in te leveren. 🧡

Congratulations to our ERGON graduates on completing their Chef and Barista training programs and taking the next step into employment! 🎓☕👨‍🍳
ERGON Vocational and Integration Centre is our training facility on Lesvos, open to migrants, refugees, and the local community. Through vocational training, Greek language lessons, and civic education classes, ERGON helps participants build skills, confidence, and a pathway toward meaningful employment and integration.
Today, we celebrate four graduates who have successfully completed their training and secured jobs. Their achievements are a testament to their hard work, dedication, and resilience.
It is inspiring to see ERGON participants turn their ambitions into opportunities and build new futures for themselves. Your success is well deserved, and we are excited to see what comes next. ❤️✨

De EU 🇪🇺 migratiepact zal vanaf 12 Juni ingaan. De Nederlandse 🇳🇱 implementatie wet gaat echter een stuk verder dan de Europese richtlijnen.

De nadruk op gehuwde partners voor gezinshereniging benadeeld koppels die niet kunnen trouwen in hun thuisland. Dat Nederland, het eerste land dat het homohuwelijk legaliseerde, LGBTQ+ vluchtelingen zo benadeeld is bijzonder.

De EU migratiepact bestaat uit wetten die overgenomen dienen te worden, en richtlijnen waarbinnen nieuwe wetten opgesteld moeten worden. Dat laatste betreft minimumnormen.

Nederland kiest dus zelf voor een strenger asielbeleid
