We are still small and we don't have all the answers, but we do fill in the humanitarian gaps whenever and wherever is most needed. We are determined to empower communities to thrive.

11 years ago, one photograph moved the world.

Alan Kurdi was only three years old. His story touched hearts across the world and triggered many to take action.

What started with a few people asking “What can we do?” grew into a movement that still continues to this day.

It’s a reminder that no act is too small to create change. One action can create a ripple, and those ripples can transform into waves.

Today, we remember Alan. 🤍

Meet Iskender from Afghanistan. Iskender took part in ERGON, our vocational training centre on Lesvos.

Applying what he learned at ERGON he has been able to find a job in hospitality that he loves.

Our aim is to empower people to flourish in their new home country. This mission goes beyond just providing trainings. We focus on creating an environment where people feel confident to pursue their ambitions, and build the future that they deserve.

Ali left Syria 10 years ago.

Almost two years ago, he went back. For the first time since he fled his home. What he found was devastation. Homes gone. Communities broken.

One thing was clear: Syria needs to be rebuild.

With that mission we started exploring how MOTG could help rebuild, alongside the local people, who never stopped believing in Syria’s future.

This week, the US lifted the last major barrier to investing in Syria. The world is finally catching up to what we already knew.

YOUNG REFUGEES BUILDING THEIR FUTURE IN ATHENS

Meet Charlie (18) and Bashet (23) from Afghanistan, and Samir (20) from Somalia. Read how they live, grow, and adapt to their new lives in Athens.

In collaboration with the inspiring participants of our shelters, and , we have created an exhibition showcasing life in Athens for young newcomers. In the coming weeks we will showcase the amazing stories, that have been brought to live by those living them.

Why do we always talk about rebuilding Syria?

During the conflict approximately 1 million homes were destroyed.

Syrians are the second largest group of displaced people in the world.

Over 13 million people had to flee from their home, 7.4 million people are displaced within Syria itself.

90% of Syrians live below the poverty line.

We want to give people the opportunity to start their lives again.
