2025 RESULTS and our MESSAGE FOR 2026!
Stop the Births or Keep Drowning…..
This is the hard truth about animal welfare on Aruba:
We cannot rescue our way out of overpopulation.
Rescue saves lives every day. The fosters, volunteers, and transport teams are keeping animals alive in a constant emergency. That work matters—and it always will.
But rescue alone will never stop the flood.
For every dog adopted, many more are born on the streets. That’s why so many rescuers feel exhausted and overwhelmed.
AWAA, focuses on what truly changes the future: mass sterilization.
Our impact so far:
• 2023: 1,500 sterilizations
• 2024: 2,700 sterilizations
• 2025: 4,687 sterilizations
Total: 8,887 animals fixed
Because of our work in 2025 alone, Aruba has:
🚫 28,000 fewer puppies
🚫 21,000 fewer kittens
That’s 49,000 lives spared from hunger, disease, neglect, and suffering.
This is how you lower the water level.
This is how prevention becomes rescue.
———
Aruba, in 2026 our goal is once again 5,000 sterilizations.
Help us get there:
• Register your cats and dogs
• Report groups of stray cats and dogs
• Reach out to us when you need help
The rescues are drowning. Every day, more kittens and puppies are born in homes and on the street and then dumped to die. This is not humane—and it is not necessary.
There is another way.
Sterilization works. Prevention works.
Please choose the solution that stops the suffering before it starts.
Together, we can protect Aruba’s animals.
