📢 More than 200 women's rights organisations across Europe are urging EU decision-makers to ensure that dedicated funding for women's rights and the prevention of violence against women and girls remains a clear priority in the next EU budget.

💜 Take a moment to read and share the message.

📣 A joint letter from more than 200 women's rights organisations and platforms across Europe has been sent to Members of the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union.

The demand is clear: dedicated, visible funding for women's rights and the prevention of violence against women and girls must remain a defined priority in the next EU budget.

Research conducted in 15 EU Member States under the MOTERIS project indicates an ongoing erosion of women's rights within EU budget priorities. There is significant concern that within increasingly merged funding frameworks, such as the proposed AgoraEU programme, support for women's rights and substantive equality risks becoming less visible and accessible.

Women's rights and equality are legal obligations under EU law and must remain a clear priority in the next EU budget.
