CALL FOR MUSICIANS!

In addition to the call for artists we are also looking for musicians for Artivism: Breaking the Chains who are ready to confront the lasting impact of colonialism and the systems of neo-colonialism that still shape our world today.
This one-day event in early September in Amsterdam will explore how colonial legacies continue to live in bodies, economies, and power structures, deciding whose lives are protected and whose are exploited. Through art and music, we create space for silenced voices, collective reflection, and meaningful resistance.

If your music speaks about memory, trauma, power, displacement, inequality, or liberation, this is your platform.

- Each set will be roughly 20-30 min.
- Inform us what type of equipment you require
- Send a link to your music, your socials, and anything else you want us to know

This is the 5th edition of Artivism, our flagship annual event. For years we’ve supported emerging and student artists, amplifying marginalised perspectives and turning art into real conversation and change.

The Netherlands is one of the only countries in the EU that does not observe (mark it as a public holiday) Labour Day. That being said, there are still several events going on in the city to celebrate and they are worth checking out! Worker rights are worth fighting for!
