Last week our team spent two days at the Make the Mark event and it was nothing short of inspiring ✨

Alongside some of the superyacht industry’s brightest marketing minds, we explored everything from branding, events, AI to sustainability and new ways of engaging the world.

Water Revolution Foundation Appoints Leah Werner as new Executive Director

We are proud to announce the appointment of Leah Werner as the new Executive Director of Water Revolution Foundation, effective 1 January 2026, succeeding Robert van Tol.

Trained as a biological oceanographer, Leah joins us with 13+ years of leadership experience at the intersection of environmental science, policy, and implementation, with a career centred on translating scientific concepts for non-technical audiences, decision-makers, and industry stakeholders.
In this next chapter, Leah’s extensive background will be instrumental in identifying new opportunities to scale the programme, ensuring it continues to grow in impact and reach.

We extend our deepest gratitude to Rober van Tol for his founding leadership and commitment to the foundation since its inception.

📣We are thrilled to announce that Aino Grapin will become the new Chair of Water Revolution Foundation as of 1 July. She is succeeding Henk de Vries III, who was a founding force behind the foundation, seven years ago! We would like to express a heartfelt thank you to Henk for his invaluable contributions and visionary leadership, he has played a pivotal role in shaping our mission, direction and accomplishments so far. 💙

Aino brings with her a fresh angle and perspective, which will be fundamental to the foundation as we head into our next three year plan.

We are excited to continue driving our mission forward with you, Aino, as chair of the next generation WRF Board of directors! 🌊

This week marked a significant step forward for smarter yacht interiors! Water Revolution Foundation and proudly co-hosted the second Future of Interior Yacht Design workshop at the inspiring F/Lab in Thomasberg - Austria. We were joined by leading interior designers, shipyards and project managers to shape the future of yacht interiors, right away working on the targets of the 2050 we launched last week.

The day began with an insightful panel discussion on the next generation of yacht design setting the tone, followed by an interactive workshop that allowed for deeper exploration yet practical approach.

Immense gratitude to F/YACHTING for being such an inspiring host for the first two workshops, leading with concrete solutions and for the impressive facility tour. And lastly, thank you to the attendees for their invaluable participation as we continue on the collective journey towards yachting.
