We work together with the Nederland Film & Television Academy to help the student to produce their end of year Productions. Some of achievements are as follows:
Stichting GAM had work with Nederland 2 Television channel (AVRO) on a children program and the kids who won the awards had the chance to go on holiday to Ghana, this we find very interesting to be part of it as it became a cultural excha
nge programme between the Dutch and Ghana for the young people. Stichting GAM does programs with Stadsdeel Zuidoost to encourage immigrants and new arrivals in the Netherlands to learn the language. Stichting GAM in cooperation with AFAPAC has done productions on HIV/Aids in 2006 and the testing for HIV/Aids virus and possible treatments available to such people. Our members received training on HIV/Aids to help some of the members to become Health Actors in the community. Stichting GAM together with WIPSA has a production on the Women’s day to empowered Women. Stichting GAM have been participating in all the drama festival organized by the Theaterwerkplaats Zuidoost (KRATER), 1000 Cuturen festival, ACA festival and we are proud to mention that we won an award in most of the Festivals, example: In the Picture 1. Also with KRATER the group in 2006 did a joint production with different groups coming together to have one big performance (FLEX) which was also very challenging to us. Stichting GAM also participated in the Carnival in Amsterdam Zuidoost to show the culture of African Chieftaincy. GAM also participates in Ghanafest every year in Den Haag.
