The Tuesday party is where we exhale: the most relaxed night of the week, where anything can happen and nobody’s pretending to be sensible anymore.
We’re back at De Nieuwe Anita for our open stage after-after party: festival friends hop on stage, share songs, and there is some relaxed dancing.
The back room turns into a friendly, slightly chaotic Blues hangout where dancing, listening and hanging out all count. If you want to sing a song or two send us a DM. And we'll squeeze you in.
We party between 20:00 - 23:00h in De Nieuwe Anita. The event is donation-based give what you can, stay as long as you like, and squeeze every last drop out of Trippin’ before you roll back into real life.

We want to highlight our main festival location; Kompaszaal in Amsterdam East. Sailors and passengers used to wait here for their ocean liners. Now we’re just waiting for the next slow drag. ⚓

Kompaszaal is a historic gem in Amsterdam’s eastern docks: the former passenger terminal and waiting room of the Royal Netherlands Steamship Company (KNSM), where travelers once gathered before crossing the ocean. Think high ceilings, original 1950s details, and huge windows looking out over the IJ – the kind of room that already feels like a story before the first note hits.

For Trippin’ Blues, we’re filling this old ship-company hall with live music, sweaty blues, and all the playful, grounded connection we can squeeze onto that floor. Come dance where journeys used to begin – and let your own start at Kompaszaal

Monday is where we slide into after-party mode: softer edges, strong feelings, and a room full of people who decided “yeah, one more night”.
The JAM Collective is our homegrown crew of local musicians who know this scene inside out and play like they’re having a conversation with the floor.
They’ll read the room, stretch grooves, and blur the line between song and jam until you’re not sure what time it is anymore – and honestly, who cares.
Perfect for bluesy tangles, late-night experiments and that slow, satisfied feeling. The party is from 19:00 - 23:00h De VerbroederIJ in Amsterdam North.

Sunday is the grand finale energy: so much dancing in your legs, but still one more big party in your heart.
Gumbo Night Blues Band bring the steamiest slice of New Orleans to Amsterdam – brass, blues, R&B and funk all stirred into one big pot of groove. Expect horns, call-and-response moments and that swampy, rolling rhythm that makes every walk to the bar turn into a strut.
If you like your last night loud, joyful and just a tiny bit unhinged, Sunday is absolutely not the night to leave early when Gumbo Night is there to throw a party. Tickets are included in your party pass or for 25 euro at the door. The party is between 20:00 - 1:00 hrs. We'll end TBA 2026 with a bang!

Saturday is the big one: packed floor, live band, best outfits, bad decisions about bedtime.
This year we’re riding the wave with the Martijn Schok Boogie & Blues Band – a powerhouse piano-led band that leans hard into soulful Blues, early rhythm ’n blues and groove-heavy roots music.
With Martijn Schok on piano and Greta Holtrop on vocals, plus a killer rhythm and horn section, they bring that greasy, rolling sound that slides under your skin and straight into your feet.
Think lush piano riffs, warm vocals and a band that knows exactly how to keep dancers hovering between “one more song” and “I really should have gone to bed an hour ago".
The party is from 20:00 - 2:00 at KZ - Kompaszaal in Amsterdam. We're looking forward to dancing with you there!

The Friday party opens the gates properly: live music, fresh energy and the first big “oh yes, we are really here” moment.

BluesShack are rolling up from Utrecht with their soulful, modern take on Blues that still feels like you’ve stepped straight into an old-school club.
They know exactly how to tease a dance floor: lifting you with juicy uptempo shuffles, then dropping you into slow, jazzy-soul tunes that make you close your eyes and stretch that connection just a little longer.

Always wanted to try Blues dancing? At Trippin’ Blues Amsterdam, we offer a Fundamentals track made especially for beginners and dancers who are just starting their Blues journey. You’ll get a strong, friendly introduction to the basics, and after that, the best part begins: dancing the night away at parties full of people who know exactly what it feels like to be new. Everyone starts somewhere, and honestly, the best way to begin is to begin. You can also join us for some (or all) of the parties the festival is from June 18 - 23, 2026.

The Monday afterparty we're keeping it close to home with our very own The JAM Collective. Workshops at Trippin’ are basically a Blues choose‑your‑own‑adventure.

We’ve got 6 tracks this year:

🧭 South – Improvers to grow your vocabulary and confidence
🧭 West – Special / Musicality for the nerds who want to play with rhythm and texture
🧭 North – Advanced when you’re ready to be lovingly pushed out of your comfort zone
🧭 Zenith – Solo to sharpen your body, rhythm and personal voice
🧭 Nadir – Cabaret for the theatrical souls who like a bit of glitter and storytelling with their Blues

You can pick one track for a chill weekend or combine two if you’re in full “feed me everything” mode – the schedule is set up so you can actually make your own path.
