In 2015, long before ChatGPT and back when Adele’s ‘Hello’ was topping the charts, the international education community came together for EAIE Glasgow 2015 at the Scottish Event Campus (SEC).📸

🍀Last week, we joined colleagues from across Europe in Ireland at the European Universities Initiative Forum in historic Maynooth, held under the Irish Presidency of the Council of the EU 2026.

Representing the EAIE at , EAIE Board Member Joanne Pagèze and Strategic Relationships Coordinator Ana Rita Dias contributed to breakout sessions on education, research and innovation, and student participation within the European Universities alliances.

The EAIE is grateful for the invitation and the engaging discussions throughout the forum. We look forward to seeing how these exchanges will help shape the future development and implementation of the + programme for 2028–2034. Go raibh maith agaibh!👋

🤳A Board selfie! Last week, the EAIE Board met in Barcelona to discuss , strategy and the exciting projects ahead.

A bittersweet moment, as this was departing President Sara López Selga’s final Board meeting. It was therefore especially fitting that the meeting was hosted by her home institution, Universitat Pompeu Fabra!

International education is, first and foremost, about the students. The recent Erasmus Generation Meeting brought students and higher ed professionals together as equal partners to share ideas and learn from one another.

🌳7000+ trees planted across Europe. This , we’re highlighting one way our community is turning responsibility into action:

🗺️As an organisation that brings thousands of people together each year, we know our work has an environmental footprint – and we’re working to reduce it year-round.
