What a fantastic time at AABB Houston!
It was great to reconnect with ISBT members and the international community of blood transfusion professionals. A highlight was our joint session with AABB, debating Liberal Versus Restrictive Transfusion Strategies in Acute Myocardial Infarction. Such engaging discussions and collaboration!

On top of that, huge congratulations to Mike Busch, past president of ISBT, for being honored with three prestigious awards at the 2024 AABB Congress:
🏆 Karl Landsteiner-Alter Award and Lecture
🏆 RISE Award (for the best study/manuscript published in Transfusion last year, as senior co-author)
🏆 President’s Award from AABB President Aaron Tobian

What an amazing event! Looking forward to the continued advancements in transfusion medicine. 👏
