ACTION · No Isolated Incidents
The 2025 killing of the 21-year-old Lorenz A. by a police officer in Oldenburg, Germany, caused outrage across the country, but is sadly only one expression of the racist profiling and systematic violence that has characterized the actions of the German police for years.
On the 15th of March, the day against police violence, - a coalition of radically left initiatives that raises awareness about police brutality - organized its first demonstration as an alliance to commemorate Lorenz and emphasize the systematic pattern that connects his killing to other victims of police violence. Afterwards, over 800 protesters walked through the streets of Berlin to show their collective anger and urge the police to take responsibility for their actions and face their racial biases.
Het Actiefonds is proud to have supported this action and will stand in solidarity with the coalition’s further commitments to act against (racially motivated) police brutality in Germany. Read more about this action and donate via the link in the bio.
