When Fareshta Rahmani arrived in the Netherlands, her future was uncertain. A trained pharmacist from Afghanistan, she had the knowledge, skills, and determination, but not yet the opportunity to continue her professional path.

Through Delitelabs’ UP Collective program, she found a new way forward.

She tested business ideas, from saffron tea to saffron-infused cheese.

By graduation, Fareshta had transformed her challenges into an entrepreneurial journey. She even launched a small Instagram venture showcasing her handicrafts while she waits for the chance to bring her saffron products officially to Dutch markets: dreamhandmade

Her advice to newcomers? “Start somewhere, learn everywhere.”

We’re proud of Fareshta and grateful for her mentor John and partners who support talents like her.

When Arabo Sargsyan moved from Armenia to the Netherlands, he had to start over.
Through Delitelabs, he found a creative home, turning his passion for art and storytelling into book covers, oracle cards, and visual projects that connect spirituality with activism.

🚀 This is what our program is about: giving newcomers the tools, confidence, and community to bring their ideas to life.

How can you support Arabo?
📚 Connect with publishing houses interested in book cover design
🎨 Connect with design studios that value creativity and fresh perspectives

If you can open a door or make an introduction, it could make a real difference in his journey.

🍦Introducing Sweet Mango Memories, a new ice cream flavor with a mission!

Co-created by 13 refugee entrepreneurs, including our entrepreneurship program Alumni Olga Shevchenko, this flavor isn’t just delicious, it tells a story.

When Olga moved from Ukraine to the Netherlands, she brought years of logistics experience and a creative spark. While caring for her newborn, she designed the packaging for Sweet Mango Memories, featuring figures from different cultures finding connection in a new home country.

“Sweet memories from the past help you feel strong and inspired in your new home country,” she says.

This flavor was born through a collaboration between Delitelabs, , and combining entrepreneurship, creativity, and cultural storytelling. Part of the proceeds will support refugee-led businesses through training and microfinance.

If you’re a company: let this inspire you to co-create with newcomers. Their ideas go beyond integration, they spark innovation.
