The future of global competitiveness is being rewritten around the ability to connect people, capital and ideas.
Business events connect people, capital and ideas, making them an important part of the conversation about global competitiveness.
That was the focus of the Global Leaders Dialogue, Future (RE)set: Rewriting the Rules of Global Competitiveness, held at the Theatru Manoel in Valletta, bringing together ministers and global business leaders to examine how destinations can adapt to a rapidly changing global landscape.
Representing ICCA, CEO Dr Senthil Gopinath joined the discussion on Winning the Race for Global Investment, exploring how policy, regulation, infrastructure, connectivity and public-private collaboration shape where investment flows and where new opportunities emerge.
This is what ICCA’s advocacy is about: Bringing evidence, relationships and the expertise of our global community into policy discussions, and ensuring that the contribution of international meetings to competitiveness, investment and societal progress is recognised and properly considered.
That commitment to advocacy was further strengthened today, as Senthil and WTTC President & CEO Gloria Guevara Manzo signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the 26th Global Summit in Valletta.
The partnership will bring ICCA and WTTC together on joint research, data alignment and coordinated advocacy across issues including visas, connectivity, taxation, sustainability and workforce development, helping give governments a clearer picture of the value of business events.
