📣 Following an EATRIS-CONNECT event on ageing hosted by the School of Medicine University of Zagreb, connections formed between EATRIS, SHARE-ERIC and academic partners have developed into ONCOLIGHT – Systems Learning for Equitable Cancer Care.

Funded through Erasmus+, the three-year project will bring together partners from Croatia, the Netherlands, Spain and TĂĽrkiye to develop an interdisciplinary educational programme addressing the complexity of modern cancer care.

The project shows how collaboration between research infrastructures can spark new partnerships and create impact beyond research.

Following the establishment of 17 National Cancer Mission Hubs, ECHoS is entering its second phase, bringing together 61 organisations across 30 countries to strengthen collaboration and advance the EU Mission on Cancer.

Through EU-AMRI, EATRIS, BBMRI ERIC and ECRIN-ERIC will connect the Hubs with relevant expertise, infrastructure and services to help translate European priorities into action within national research and health systems.

As EATRIS Scientific Director Toni Andreu explains: “Delivering the Cancer Mission requires more than strategic alignment; it requires the capacity to translate European ambitions into action.”
