The objective of this project is to provide an initial platform for the regular projection of Filipino society and culture in the wider Dutch public. Activities planned for this special event include poster presentations of the Philippines as a tourist destination; a Filipiniana fashion show; promotion of Philippine art, books, and products; food-tasting of authentic Filipino dishes; dance perform

ances; and the promotion of Filipino history and identity. Our hope is raise more positive awareness about the Philippines as a nation that is rising confidently to assume its rightful place in our global neighborhood.
