Subsidienieuws! 🗞️ (English Below)
De toekenningen van de regeling Literatuur Caribe uit 2026 (ronde 1) zijn zojuist bekend gemaakt. Maar liefst twaalf twaalf literaire projecten ontvangen subsidie via het fonds op Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao en Sint Maarten. Onder meer schrijver Olga Buckley en de stichtingen De Cultuur Kameleon, Biblioteka Públiko Boneiru en Epic Center krijgen geld voor hun literaire plannen.
Schrijver Olga Buckley: “De subsidie van het Letterenfonds heeft niet alleen de fysieke publicatie van de serie mogelijk gemaakt maar draagt bij aan het schrijfklimaat en het literaire leven op onze eilanden, wat voor mij persoonlijk een groter goed is dan enkel het publiceren op zich."

De regeling Literatuur Caribe opent weer op 7 september 2026, 9.00 uur Caribische tijd en sluit wanneer het subsidieplafond is bereikt.

Grant news! 🗞️
The grants awarded in the first funding round of 2026 of Caribe Literature have now been announced. In total, twelve literary projects on Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao and Sint Maarten will receive support. Recipients include writer Olga Buckley and the organizations De Cultuur Kameleon Foundation, Biblioteka Públiko Boneiru and Epic Center Foundation.
Olga Buckley: “The grant from the Dutch Foundation for Literature has not only made the physical publication of the series possible but also contributes to the writing environment and literary life on our islands, which for me personally is of greater value than simply the act of publishing itself.”
