MixTree MixTree is a non-profit cultural association that organizes live music and cultural events. It is al MixTree is a non-profit stichting founded in 2014.

Our name reflects the diverse and international community we are part of, and the projects that grow from it. From the beginning, MixTree has aimed to create a space where people from different backgrounds and cultures can meet, exchange, and explore new paths together. Over the years, we have done this by supporting and organising activities that bring people together, including MixTree Languages

, our English language school, as well as meetups and community events. Today, MixTree Languages is based in the centre of Amsterdam. We are no longer at Lely and now operate from our central Amsterdam location. More info: www.mixtreelang.nl

We offer English courses for adults, language exchange meetups, English Conversation Cafés, and community events where people can meet, practise English, and spend time together. From time to time, we also organise social gatherings, including dinners, with DJs and sometimes live bands. Amsterdam is a constantly changing city, and MixTree continues to offer a welcoming and inclusive space for language, community, and human connection, for those that do not give up… simply for the love of Art and humanity…

Hello Language Learners 😃
ALL of courses start again on 7th April 2025.

For our INTENSIVE COURSES:
Learn English 4 days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday) for a month. 🤓

For our MORNING COURSES:
Study twice a week for 6 weeks with students from all over the world. All morning courses are from 9.30-12:00, but they are on different days.

For our ONLINE COURSES:
Study twice a week for 6 weeks live with a teacher and students from all over the world. All evening courses are from 19:00 to 21:00 (Amsterdam time), but they are on different days.

For our BEGINNERS COURSE:
Study twice a week for 6 weeks on Mondays and Wednesdays.

For our BUSINESS COURSE:
The course will be live with a teacher online every Tuesday & Thursday, from 19:00-21:00, for 6 weeks.

Our Story

MixTree is a non-profit stichting, founded in 2014. We chose our name in order to represent the varied melting pot we are and the scenery we operate. In fact, MixTree’s purpose is to create a place where artists and people from different backgrounds and cultures can freely mingle, gather, interact and explore new paths. We do so by organising and promoting events, ideas, and especially souls that contribute to make of Amsterdam the unique centre of creation in the world that it is. In the last three years we have hosted different venues, a language school (www.mixtreelang.nl), meet-ups and exhibitions in Overtoom 301 and nowadays we are continuing and expanding our activities in our new and humongous location inside the concrete jungle at Broedplaats Lely, where we aim to give place to even more music, theatre, performance, cabaret, filmprojections, exhibitions, our language school, talks, private events and for the very first time a cantina and catering supporting the Broedplaats LELY. Amsterdam as a center of Arts is rapidly driven to the suburbs by the gentrification process, but MixTreel tries its best to create a safe haven, together with Urban Resort, for those that do not give up...simply for the love of Art and humanity...
