そして神社を訪れることで精神が高揚、気持ちも若返り、感覚さえリフレッシュされ、自然環境や社会環境との調和の中に生きていると実感することができるでしょう。特に新年は、家族の健康や幸福、学業の成功や仕事の繁栄、交通安全などを祈り、清らかな心で新たな四季の歩みを始める大切な時です。
オランダ斎宮では帰国のならない在蘭の日本人の皆さまにも初詣をして頂けます。
オランダ斎宮は神道史上初の欧州における神社で、オランダ人の宮司ポール・ド・レオの指揮のもとに建立されました。ド・レオは 1981年に愛知県、山蔭神道学校貴嶺宮より宮司として認可を受けています。
初詣の儀式は1月1日の午前10時から午後4時まで執り行われますので、ご関心方をお持ちの方は当宮のウェブサイトで詳細情報と予約フォームをご覧ください。

お祓いは全部で4回（11時、12時、1時 , 2時 から20分間）行われます。お祓いをご希望の方は上記の時間帯をご予約ください。
11時半、12時半、1時半、2時半、3時からの30分は皆様それぞれご自由にご参拝頂けます。ご参拝だけの場合にもご予約が必要となります。
なお当日はお札、御守等をお受け頂くことも可能です。この初詣のお札、御守はメールオーダーは受け付けておりませんのでご了承ください。
お祓いには家族ごとに初穂料として20ユーロを現金にて承っております。またこの他に御参拝者からお賽銭も承っております。初穂料並びにお賽銭は当日直接斎宮へお持ちください。

初詣へのご招待と新年のお祓いのご案内
“Hatsumode” means visiting the local jinja on the first day of the year to make a fresh start.
In Japan, it is customary for millions of people to visit famous jinja, such as Meiji Jingu in Tokyo or Fushimi Inari Taisha in Kyoto, as well as one of the other 80,000 jinja.
Such a visit creates an empty space where the boundary between the visible and the invisible dissolves and the heart blends with pure nature, experiencing peace and serenity. It is a good time to pray for happiness and health for your family, success in school, prosperity at work or safety in traffic. During your visit to the jinja, you will be rejuvenated and refreshed by a strong sense of harmony with nature and connection with your social environment.
If you want to celebrate Hatsumode, you don’t have to be in Japan; you can also visit our jinja in Amsterdam.

Yamakage Shinto Holland Saigu, celebrating its 45th anniversary in 2026, welcomes you on January 1st from 11.00 am to 3.30 pm. During your visit you can attend a harae ceremony for purification, or you can visit in person without a ceremony (mairi).
Choose a timeslot (30 minutes) and reserve your harae or mairi in advance.
Due to limited space, we recommend booking early.

Shinto Ceremony: celebration of 20 years Shofukan

Shinto is a way of life that can't be learned from books or videos. It requires participation, as the Japanese are doing for centuries. Japanese artists respect their materials, viewing them as living. Shinto is considered Japan's cultural undercurrent or fountainhead. In Rotterdam, Shofukan promotes Japanese arts, integrating this cultural aspect. Shinto, meaning "the way of the kami," involves living harmoniously with kami, unseen yet respected. In Japan, most dojos have a kamidana, where practitioners bow to feel the kami's energy.
Shinto exercises cleanse negative thoughts and habits, offering clarity and courage to find one's path. Participants in Shofukan's Shinto exercises often realize their connection to nature, not as controllers but as integral parts. This understanding, with kami's support, empowers significant achievements.
