The “Training 4 Game Changers” took place from 11–19 July 2026 in Nadur Gozo, Malta. This training brought together participants from 10 Erasmus+ programme countries, including peer group leaders, emerging and experienced youth workers.

The project focused on strengthening the skills and professional identity of youth workers by introducing and exchanging game-based learning as an innovative and inclusive method. Participants explored how games can be used not only for entertainment but also as powerful tools for education, inclusion, and empowerment.

The training aimed to equip youth workers with practical competences to design and facilitate educational games during the project Lab Phases, enabling them to create meaningful engagement with young people and act as “game changers" in particular to those with fewer opportunities in their surroundings.

The project was made possible by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union.

Another active and sunny ☀️ day in our Erasmus+ training 4 Game Changers in cooperation with WOW Go Amsterdam and Nadur Local Council

This morning, participants explored the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and how Erasmus+ contributes to building a sustainable future. Volunteers from Nadur supported through an interactive treasure hunt, international teams worked together to solve challenges, discover local landmarks and strengthen their teamwork while learning outside the venue.

Another day of learning and collaboration! 🎲 Participants explored inclusion, teamwork and decision-making through interactive simulations and problem-solving activities.

In the afternoon, visits to local youth centres offered valuable insights into how youth work supports inclusion and empowerment in practice, while creating opportunities to exchange ideas across countries.

Todays Training 4 Game Changers was about understanding economic barriers.
Through games role-play and group discussions, participants explored the challenges in Europe. By stepping into different roles and perspectives, they reflected on how youth work can create more opportunities and stronger communities.

The afternoon focused on sharing games and good proven methods in games and practices, that will contribute to the toolkit we are developing together.

Our first day started with a warm Cultural Lunch hosted by the Maltese team 🇲🇹. After a introductive day of teamwork, and challenges, the evening turned into a relaxed and meaningful cultural exchange. Participants shared food and traditions, creating connections among each other. Yesterday, participants from Netherlands, Malta (host), Romania, Greece, Bulgaria, Spain, Italy, Slovakia, Turkiye and Czech Republic arrived throughout the day and night to attend the Training 4 Game Changers” held in Gozo, Malta from 11-19 July.

Today we officially started the training. The first day were all about meeting new people, sharing stories, group building and Youthpass. Let the journey begin!
