In Full Effect Hip-Hop

Bi-monthly underground hip-hop night in Vrankrijk, Amsterdam. In Full Effect is Vrankrijk’s bi-monthly underground hip-hop event.

With live acts from all over the world and tried and tested local DJ’s, we aim to stay true to the spirit of hip-hop's original adage of ‘Peace, Unity, Love & Having Fun’. And since it’s Vrankrijk, each event will support a good cause.

Pics from last night's mash-up party at Het Groene Veld. We knew it was kind of a gamble, putting all these different styles and genres together for one night, but it turned out to be a fun and eclectic night. Thanks to Melt & crew, The Soul Travelers and our DJ's for making our little segment work.

Het Groene Veld, one of the last free spaces in Amsterdam, is under perpetual threat of getting cancelled by de gemeente. In Full Effect is spiritually connected to this place, but also in practice, since we've been part of numerous events there. The city needs places like this, but the only way these places can remain is for the public to actively show their appreciation. So please take 30 seconds out of your day to sign their petition:

Thanks to MC's Casto Man (and his band), Blits and Djenghis Haan, DJ Wolf Rock, De Vondelbunker, our volunteers ánd the crowd for making our party at the new location a succes. Onderhonden encore brought some semi-controlled chaos to the set! ❤️

Tonight it's on! Since we've moved to a new location, here's some last-minute extra info:
- The Vondelbunker is located ín Vondelpark, underneath the Van Baerlestraat bridge. From Central Station you can take any tram that goes to Leidseplein (or even Museumplein), it's a short walk into the park from there.
- Free entry, but donations (jar on the bar) are much appreciated. You'll be supporting De Poezenboot ánd the performers. In Full Effect and Vondelbunker are both run by volunteers, but we do like to compensate the artists for their expenses.
- Cash only, PIN machines at Leidseplein.
- Early hours: open at 20:00, first show at 20:45, and closed at 01:00. We're making sure all the live stuff is finished around midnight so people can still take the last tram back to CS.

Hope to see you all there tonight! 💪
