*Stateless Stories Café — 4th Edition | Rotterdam*
The Stateless Rights Collective (SRC) was delighted to organize the 4th edition of “Stateless Stories Café” in Rotterdam.
The event brought together stateless individuals, politicians, municipality officers, journalists, universities, NGO’s and other interested participants to listen, share and connect through personal stories.
These stories reminded us that statelessness is more than a legal status. It can affect every aspect of life from education and employment to freedom, belonging and the ability to build a future.
It was an afternoon filled with emotions, honest conversations, ambitions and hopes while exploring meaningful ways to address the challenges faced by stateless people.
Importantly, our conversations with local politicians highlighted two areas for further action: raising awareness about statelessness within local political parties, so that the issue can also receive attention at the national level and working together with municipalities to improve how stateless people are identified and registered.
We are grateful to everyone who joined us, listened and contributed to the conversation. Meaningful change begins when stories are heard and followed by action.
Thank you for being part of Stateless Stories Café. We look forward to staying connected and continuing this important conversation at our future events.
