OFFICIAL FAREWELL STATEMENT FROM THE OUTGOING LEADERSHIP OF THE LIBERIAN ASSOCIATION NETHERLANDS
Dear Fellow Liberians and Friends of the Liberian Community in the Netherlands,
During our July 26 Independence Celebration, we announced that significant leadership changes would be taking place within the Liberian Association Netherlands.
Today, we issue this official statement to formally confirm those transitions.
Our President, Mrs. Mildred Scholte Toweh, has officially handed over the leadership of the association to the community.
She has chosen to step down as she enters early retirement to enjoy this new season of life with her husband, for which we thank God.
We are deeply grateful for her exceptional leadership, dedication, and years of faithful service to our community.
Our Vice President, Ms. Mamie Free, has also stepped down due to work commitments to the UK.
We sincerely thank her for her commitment, hard work, and valuable contributions to the association.
I, Dahai Samuel Gbaa, have officially stepped down from my position as General Secretary due to my upcoming relocation.
Serving this community has been a great privilege and an unforgettable honor.
I am thankful for the trust, respect, and cooperation I received throughout my time in office.
Our Treasurer, Brother. Anthony, has also indicated that he will be leaving in the near future.
However, he has graciously agreed to remain for the time being to work alongside Mr. Isaac Brooks, our Spokesman, and help ensure a smooth and successful transition of leadership.
As we conclude our service, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to every member of the Liberian community in the Netherlands.
Thank you for your confidence, encouragement, support, and partnership.
Together, we have celebrated our culture, overcome challenges, and strengthened our community.
We encourage every member to continue supporting Mr. Isaac Brooks and Brother Anthony during this transition.
With your unity, cooperation, and commitment, we are confident that the Liberian Association Netherlands will continue to grow and thrive.
Although we are stepping away from our official positions, our love and commitment to the Liberian community remain unchanged.
We will always be available to offer guidance whenever needed, and we pray for God's continued blessings upon our community.
May God bless each of you, bless the Liberian Association Netherlands, and bless the Republic of Liberia.
With sincere gratitude,
Mrs. Mildred Scholte Toweh
