¡Querida Familia Papaya Kuir!

Reserven el 11 de julio de 2025 desde las 6 PM—¡nos adueñaremos del Vondelpark en Ámsterdam para el Picnic Papaya más feliz, q***r y lleno de amor!

Este es nuestro momento sagrado para reconectar, celebrar y disfrutar la alegría de la familia elegida. Esperen:
Comida y bebidas (porque ningún encuentro q***r está completo sin bocadillos),
Música (traigan su ritmo y música favorita),
Y todo el amor que hemos estado deseando.

¡Pero esperen, la magia comienza antes! Primero nos uniremos a nuestrxs hermanes de FiteQlub en su Festival de Trabajadores S*xuales en Oudekerksplein (porque la solidaridad es sexy 😉). Después, migraremos juntxs al parque para un atardecer de risas, abrazos y ternura radical.

Vengan exactamente como son. Su presencia es el brillo que necesitamos.

This is our sacred time to reconnect, celebrate, and soak up the joy of chosen family. Expect: Food & drinks (because no q***r gathering is complete without snacks),
Music (bring your rhythm and your nostalgia),
And all the love we’ve been craving.

But wait—The magic starts earlier! We’ll first be joining our siblinx at FiteQlub during their S*x Workers Festival at Oudekerksplein (because solidarity is sexy 😉). Afterward, let’s migrate to the park for a sunset of laughter, cuddles, and radical softness.

Come exactly as you are. Your presence is the glitter we need.

Invitation: Somatic Lab – Latinx Memories
Bilingual Open Session Workshop
Location: DAS Graduate School

Followed by a shared community dinner
Somatic Lab – Latinx Memories warmly invites you to a special open session, welcoming participants of the regular lab alongside a broader community of practitioners, artists, researchers, of ATD and members of the LGBTQ+ and migrant communities. Rooted in an intersectional and collaborative pedagogy, the lab centers the lived experiences of Latinx migrants and asylum seekers in the Netherlands. It approaches the politics of care, migration, and embodied memory through an eco-somatic lens.
This session offers a space to reconnect with our bodies as vessels of memory, resistance, and collective knowledge. Through hands-on practices involving touch, movement, voice, and sound, we will explore how stories—both personal and communal—are embedded within us, emerging through the body as pathways to regenerate, re-imagine and transform.
Facilitated by Flavia Pinheiro, Paula Montecinos, and Alejandra Ortiz, this bilingual workshop creates a welcoming space for listening, remembering, and co-creating stories beyond words. No prior experience is required, and all bodies and backgrounds are welcome.
We will conclude the session with a shared dinner—a moment to gather, reflect, and continue the conversation. Bring comfortable clothes to move, sweat and lay down.

Papaya Kuir les invita a una práctica continua de movimiento y tacto para personas de la comunidad q***r migra, refugiades y aliades (no personas cis heteras). Un espacio para recordar, reconectar, respirar y sanar juntes en un mundo que a menudo se siente asfixiante. Si vives en un AZC podemos contribuir con ayuda para el transporte.

- Talleres en español y portugués
- Abierto a la comunidad Q***r
- Aportación monetaria abierta y sugerida

- Fechas: Sábados 15 y 22 de febrero, y 1 de marzo

Un encuentro abierto en Amsterdam, para unirnos como miembrxs de la comunidad, sentir el calor de nuestros corazones, y honrar la memoria de William.

Domingo, 2 de febrero del 2025 a las 17:00 horas, en el Homomonument para dejar flores, y ceremonia a las 19:00 horas en la iglesia Oranjekerk.

Las ceremonias seran guiadas por Wielie Elhorst, ministro LGBTQI+

Thank you everyone for your support. We’ve managed to raise our primary goal of €4.000. within 15 hours thanks to community response. This has truly been heartwarming 🖤

At the moment we are coordinating with William’s family, and still waiting for more information from the police. We are keeping the crowdfund open with a new goal of €10.000. in order to bring William’s family to Amsterdam and/or to send his body back to Venezuela after the investigation has finished. This is in accordance with the family’s wishes.

Support (donations, reposts, sharing) is still greatly appreciated!

We will keep you updated as things settle.

Gracias a todxs por su apoyo. Hemos conseguido recaudar nuestro objetivo principal de 4.000 euros en 15 horas gracias a la respuesta de la comunidad. Esto ha sido realmente conmovedor 🖤

En estos momentos estamos coordinándonos con la familia de William, y seguimos esperando más información de la policía. Mantenemos abierto el crowdfunding con un nuevo objetivo de 10.000. euros para poder traer a la familia de William a Amsterdam y/o enviar su cuerpo de vuelta a Venezuela una vez finalizada la investigación. Esto de acuerdo con los deseos de la familia.

¡Oratoria Kuir!

Comunidad lesbo-trans-migra Latinex* viviendo en Los Países Bajos,

¿Te gustaría mejorar o refinar la manera en que expresas tus pensamientos?

El sábado 7 y el jueves 12 de diciembre estaremos impartiendo un taller de oratoria para personas de la comunidad que quieran aprender nuevas formas para expresar ideas, pulir el mensaje o simplemente tener más confianza al hablar ya sea dando presentaciones, o cuando se tiene que explicar algo a organizaciones o instancias gubernamentales.

Los talleres serán en un espacio seguro, habrá comida y la oportunidad de aprender entre pares.

Si vives en un AZC o fuera de Amsterdam y no tienes los fondos para viajar, podemos ayudarte con el boleto de tren.
