Our tafels are set for this week and our menu is about to roll out -
a weekly changing menu is a lot to process (for us too), but we adapt to the times in which we feel slow food is necessary (local, seasonal, thoughtful) and people need creativity more than ever.

So here we are, come to TestTafel to taste what’s available this summer;

All produce supplied from in and around the Amsterdam area, inspired by the depth of our imagination 🌀🍽️

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION SCHEDULE IS OUT🚨🚨🚨

Our day and night party on September 5th is gonna be divided in three parts⬇️

2PM-6PM —> WORKSHOPS AND STANDS:
Arts & crafts, dance, nails, toothgems, clothes, and more! Stay tuned for the full programme, coming out soon🌱

6PM-9PM —> COMMUNAL SERING DINNER:
Your favorite comfort food, priced on a donation basis, to be enjoyed with the musical accompaniment of our very own DS band🎸 who will be jamming the night away!

9PM-3AM —> PARTY:
After dinner, our dining hall will turn into a dance floor, and we’ll start blasting our speakers. We have a banging lineup of DJs that will make sure nobody is standing still🕺🪩

EVERYONE IS WELCOME!!
INVITE YOUR MOM, HER BESTIES, YOUR COWORKERS, YOUR UNI PROFESSORS, YOUR BOSS, YOUR COUSINS, YOUR PETS, AND LITERALLY EVERYONE ELSE YOU KNOW!!! CAUSE WE’RE GOING BIG‼️

Phaneron (Mitchell aka ) will bring you an evening filled with records from all around the globe!🌎

An eclectic evening where we will travel from Afro-jazz to Brazilian funk to city pop.
Enjoy the sun, the Sering food and drinks while the music slowly shifts to more upbeat Afrobeat, Bollywood disco, and Middle Eastern dance📀

Doors open at 5pm!
Dinner is served between 6-9!!
Music goes from 7 to 10!!!

An insight of what our cooking lessons look like 🤭

Our cooking lessons have been such a hit that they are completely booked already for the next two weeks!! 😱

This makes us so happy and so motivated to do them more and more. 🥰😁

Keep an eye out on our scheduler for the next rotation of cooking lessons 🫶🏼💅

In the meantime, you can always join a volunteer shift at De Sering.

We are so excited to officially introduce the Nieuw West Verbindt Project! 😊
At De Sering, connecting people through food has always been our mission. Now, with the support of Gemeente Amsterdam, we’re taking that mission directly to the streets of Nieuw-West🥣

We’re launching three programs designed to strengthen our connection to our neighborhood:

The Travelling Kitchen: Bringing fresh lunches and dinners to four different locations across thneighborhoodod. 🚚

Cooking Lessons: Learn the fundamentals of cooking and come learn our neighbors’ secret family recipes. Everyone is welcome to join us at Rhoneweg 6! 👩‍🍳

Repair Café: We don’t believe in throwing away things that are broken… we fix them! From carpentry to electronics, come learn new skills or help us keep our equipment running. 🛠️

Supported by Gemeente Amsterdam and our partners at , and .nl , we’re connecting with Nieuw-West so that everyone feels welcome at our table.

it’s been an exciting first month, where we’ve dined together with around 200 people every Tuesday. thank you all for showing up and the support! specially to Mediamatic and our amazing volunteers 💌💌💌
