Tim Slingsby shares with us an idea that is crucial to a deep, long lasting change for the Ocean and in life in general: connection within the community.

The world is so vast and populated with brilliant, unique minds of people who are doing work to support the planet.
Already we are seeing increasing amounts of success with our efforts, but what if all of us can find a way to bring our forces of love & activism, conscious of each other to support and amplify it all?

Do you have any community or connection based ideas?

Society usually acknowledges and teaches that the trees are the main source of oxygen for this planet. But did you know that it’s not?

The Ocean is responsible for providing 50-72% of the oxygen and also absorbing 25-30% of human-caused CO2.

But it’s not just the water of the ocean, it’s the marine biodiversity of organisms which live within it.

Because you protect what you love, because it extends way beyond just the Ocean itself πŸ’™

cleanup innovations pushing back pollution. (Clean-ups alone aren't considered
innovative β€” show us the idea behind it.)

Mangroves are among our planet's most valuable ecosystems. They protect shorelines from erosion, provide nurseries for countless marine species, store vast amounts of carbon, and support the livelihoods of coastal communities 🌿🌊

By protecting mangroves, we help protect our oceans, our climate, and the rich biodiversity that depends on them.
