✨Meet the team✨ Eveline is responsible for recruitment, training and guiding project coordinators that serve at the Lideke Wery Educational Institute in Sri Lanka. She has been involved with LWF since August 2023, after a year of focusing on acquisition, she is now transitioning to a programming role. In her day job, she scales innovations within the private sector for positive societal change. She believes the time is now to equalize and localise development aid because it’s crucial for long term sustainable leadership, growth and impact.

✨Meet the team✨ Max recently joined the LWF board as the new treasurer. He has extensive experience as a finance professional, first at Royal Bank of Canada and currently serving as private equity professional at One Two Capital. He will primarily focus on optimizing the financial processes within the charity.

✨Meet the team✨ Michiel is the Partnerships Lead at Studytube, an EdTech company in the Netherlands that provides a comprehensive learning platform for organizations. He joined the LWF in September, motivated by his love for Sri Lanka and his desire to contribute to a meaningful volunteer project. Michiel’s focus is on acquisition efforts, aiming to build a sustainable foundation for the future.

✨Meet the team✨ Jord has been active as chairman of the LWF board since 2022, as he wanted to expand his impact outside his daily job at Picnic. With a background in Econometrics, he adds a financial and strategical angle to this human oriented charity.

✨Meet the team✨ Jitske is the managing director of Dutch Edtech, the national organization that supports technology entrepreneurs in the digital education sector. She has extensive experience in helping entrepreneurs scale and internationalize their businesses, as well as in developing strong business strategies and networks. For two years, she served as treasurer at LWF, and will now focus on optimizing and improving education in the coming year. Additionally, she maintains monthly contact with a school in Sri Lanka to contribute to their development efforts.

Look at these smiles! 🥰 The Lideke Wery educational institute in Induruwa has been offering free education to the community since 2006 🇱🇰 However, this year the school faced more challenges than ever, due to the effects of Covid on tourism, the political turbulence and challenging economy in Sri Lanka.
