Serve the City organizes project days about once a month on a Saturday. Sign up for a project of your choice, have a great day and join us afterwards for dinner to thank you for your effort. The project days for 2022 are:

WHAT WE DO

We believe that everyone deserves a bit of extra love every now and then. We do this in a number of different ways. Connecting with other Charities
We are connected with a number of organizations that already help people on the edges of society. We run events where connect our volunteers to these charities so that they can do things that they would otherwise not have the time or money to do. Street Surprises
We also arrange street surprises to brighten people’s day. When a stranger gives you a cup of hot chocolate on a cold winter’s day – what are you going to think? We hope to make people smile but more than that connect with each other and realize that even in a big city like Amsterdam, people care and have time for each other. Makeovers
Sometimes the Salvation Army or social services make us aware of someone who is in particular need of help. This might be a person who is living in difficult circumstances and they require a lot of support. We can organize a team to clean up and paint, but more than that, its about connecting with the person and showing them that they matter. Company Day
We help companies, schools and other organizations that want to do a charity event. We can help scope out what you want to achieve and how you want to contribute. We’ll then come up with ideas for projects you can get involved in and then do all we can to make sure that your volunteer day runs smoothly.
