What an amazing and fun-filled family cricket day we all enjoyed in Utrecht yesterday! It was wonderful to see everyone come together for such a fantastic event.
A total of 16 men’s teams and 4 women’s teams competed with great passion and excitement for the coveted GSNL Cricket Premier League Trophy.
In the Men’s category, Dream Team Utrecht were crowned champions for the second time, returning to the top after their first victory in 2024. Gangs of Almerepur fought hard in the finals and delivered a great performance, finishing as the well-deserved runners-up.
In the Women’s category, Gujju Super Queens lifted the trophy for the second consecutive year, once again proving to be a strong and unbeatable team. Rotterdam Royals put up an incredible fight and narrowly missed the win by just 2 runs, finishing as proud runners-up after an outstanding performance.
One of the biggest highlights of the tournament was seeing friends and families cheering and supporting their loved ones, making the event truly special and turning it into a memorable family day.
Everyone also enjoyed the delicious food served by Just Yuhi Foods, which kept players and supporters energized throughout the day.
To ensure fair play, KNCB umpires officiated all matches, providing neutral and professional decisions.
Kudos to all organisors and volunteers who helped in pulling off this amazing event.
All teams played with great passion, emotion, and true sportsmanship. There were even a few friendly rivalries along the way, but in the end it was clear that the true winner of the day was the spirit of cricket itself.
