As a social movement that aims at impacting thinking on African development assistance, the organisation has achieved a high-level leadership within the European and African civil societies. A.S.D.A’s think-tank board of directors comprise of experienced and still active citizens in their careers within the private and pu
blic sectors. We believe that suffering and neglect anywhere in the world threatens development and happiness everywhere. "I have been asked a question many a time, who is your hero?’ I say, my hero does not depend on the position a person occupies. My heroes are those simple men and women who have committed themselves to fighting poverty wherever that is to be found in the world.” Nelson Mandela. The collective staff and active members are talented and skillful; they have experiences in past projects and also bring additional knowledge from their current jobs. This serves as a vehicle to support and deliver high quality projects in line with the objectives of the Foundation A.S.D.A. The competences of Foundation ASDA staff range from proficiency providing great input on voluntary basis. The background of the staff is strong with good experiences in areas of their profession; bringing it together to support voluntary humanitarian activities. Our staffs have good academic and professional backgrounds; they have the desire to use their skills acquired in the various fields to the benefit of the society; Other volunteers use their different "know-how" knowledge to add value to ASDA's activities. A.S.D.A's staff consists of a multicultural group from various nationalities, blending ideas together to maintain the African ideal with present day civilsation.
